Biomimetic Metal-Organic Framework Nanoparticles for Synergistic Combining of SDT-Chemotherapy Induce Pyroptosis in Gastric Cancer

open access: yesFrontiers in Bioengineering and Biotechnology, 2022
In recent years, sonodynamic therapy (SDT) has been widely developed for cancer research as a promising non-invasive therapeutic strategy. Here, we synthesized zeolitic imidazole frameworks-8 (ZIF-8) and utilized its properties to encapsulate hydrophobic

Nanomedicine Meets Immunotherapy: Advancing Adoptive Cell Therapy with Nanoparticles in the Treatment of Cancer with Sustainability Perspectives

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review surveys nanoparticle‐based strategies to enhance adoptive cell therapy, particularly CAR‐T cell approaches, in solid tumor treatment. It describes how nanoparticles can improve tumor immunogenicity and T‐cell infiltration while reducing toxicity, and how they enable in vivo CAR‐T cell generation.

ROS Self‐Supply Nanoplatform Based on Fenton Catalyst for Chemodynamic and Immunotherapy: Reprogramming Cold Tumor Into Hot Tumor in Cancer Treatment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A multifunctional HA‐conjugated nanoplatform (HA‐PGMC) integrates CuO2, glucose oxidase, and mil‐100 to enable cascade catalytic ROS generation in tumor microenvironments. This self‐supplying ROS strategy induces immunogenic cell death, reprograms “cold” tumors into “hot” ones, and synergizes with PD‐L1 blockade, achieving potent chemodynamic ...

Self‐Amplifying Redox Cycle Triggers Ferroptosis/Cuproptosis Synergy for Enhanced Bacterial Eradication

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study designs a targeted nanocomposite (ct@HMCF‐Dex) that responds to acidic infection microenvironments, releasing components which amplify oxidative stress. It disrupts bacterial redox balance, chelates metals to sustain lipid peroxidation, and synergistically induces cuproptosis/ferroptosis‐like death.

Sonodynamic therapy-based nanoplatforms for combating bacterial infections

open access: yesUltrasonics Sonochemistry, 2023
The rapid spread and uncontrollable evolution of antibiotic-resistant bacteria have already become urgent global to treat bacterial infections. Sonodynamic therapy (SDT), a noninvasive and effective therapeutic strategy, has broadened the way toward dealing with antibiotic-resistant bacteria and biofilms, which base on ultrasound (US) with ...
