Fiber composition of 190 novel energy cane genotypes and their potential for biorefinery applications

Abstract Energy cane has emerged as a promising feedstock for biorefineries due to its high fiber yield and potential for diversified bioproducts. Acanthospermum hispidum and Its Metabolite Stigmasterol Modulates Anti‐Inflammatory Antagonism of COX‐1 and TGF‐β

This study evaluates the anti‐inflammatory effect of Acanthospermum hispidum (AH) leaves and confirms its traditional use on diseases linked to inflammation. AH ethanol extract presents a dose‐dependent increase in anti‐inflammatory activity on the different times examined (T30 – T150). Also, stigmasterol present in AH shows potent antagonist influence

Exploitation of the Antibacterial Activity of Micromeria graeca L. Extracts From Northern Morocco

Among the various extraction techniques investigated, the methanolic ultrasound‐assisted extract (MGME‐UAE) of Micromeria graeca L exhibited the strongest bactericidal effect, selectively inhibiting Proteus mirabilis (inhibition zone 12.7 ± 0.6 mm; MIC = 6.25 mg/mL).
