Specific Chromosomal Affinity of a Resistance Factor [PDF]
SUMMARY: R factors, responsible for transmissible drug resistance in Enterobacteriaceae, convert their hosts into donors of genetic material, but fewer recombinants for chromosomal genes are produced than with F. For one R factor, at least, this was merely a consequence of less frequent conjugation.

Male-specific bacteriophages and their potential on combating the spreading of T4SS-bearing antimicrobial resistance plasmids [PDF]
Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) has been recognized as an important health crisis in the twenty first century. Type IV secretion systems (T4SSs) play key roles in the dissemination of AMR plasmids.

Specific resistance of Pd/Ir interfaces [PDF]
From measurements of the current-perpendicular-to-plane total specific resistance (AR=area times resistance) of sputtered Pd/Ir multilayers, we derive the interface specific resistance, 2ARPd/Ir=1.02±0.06 fΩ m2, for this metal pair with closely similar lattice parameters.

ABSTRACT Background Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is the most common pediatric cancer, with an overall survival now surpassing 90% in developed countries. However, treatments are not without adverse effects. In this study, we apply the severe toxicity‐free survival (STFS) framework to determine the prevalence of 21 physician‐defined severe ...
