High Sensitivity Mass Spectrometric Quantification of Serum Growth Hormone by Amphiphilic Peptide Conjugation [PDF]
Amphiphilic peptide conjugation affords a significant increase in sensitivity with protein quantification by electrospray-ionization mass spectrometry. This has been demonstrated here for human growth hormone in serum using N-(3-iodopropyl)-N,N,N-dimethyloctylammonium iodide (IPDOA-iodide) as derivatizing reagent.

Synchronized dual-polarity electrospray ionization mass spectrometry [PDF]
This work describes the synchronized dual-polarity (DP) electrospray ionization (ESI) method and demonstrates the first DP ESI mass spectra obtained using two mass spectrometers. Stable double Taylor cones were produced by applying two counter electric voltages with opposite polarities to one electrosprayer.

Relative affinity constants by electrospray ionization and Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry: calmodulin binding to peptide analogs of myosin light chain kinase [PDF]
Synthetic RS20 peptide and a set of its point-mutated peptide analogs have been used to analyze the interactions between calmodulin (CaM) and the CaM-binding sequence of smooth-muscle myosin light chain kinase both in the presence and the absence of Ca2+.
