Radiation Research, 1992
In the CBA mouse the radiosensitivity of the undifferentiated spermatogonia that are committed to differentiate was determined by counting their more developed descendants 10 days after graded doses of X rays. Decreasing D0 values were found when these differentiating spermatogonia were derived from undifferentiated spermatogonia that were located in ...

Cytotoxicity of ethyl methanesulfonate in mice spermatogonia
Experientia, 1979Enumeration of different types of spermatogonia, following a single i.p. administration of different doses of ethyl methanesulfonate in mice, showed a survival of A1-A4 and in spermatogonia is markedly reduced due to cell killing while the remaining types of spermatogonia were affected marginally.

Isolated spermatogonia protrude active pseudopodia in vitro
Fertility and Sterility, 2008When dispersed spermatogenic cells obtained by enzymatic digestion from prepuberal mice, adult male mice, nonazoospermic men and normospermic men were observed live using Normarski optics, it was found that, respectively, 47.4%, 1.4%, 5.1%, and 2.4% of them protruded active pseudopodia.

High-Resolution Light Microscopic Characterization of Spermatogonia
2008It is possible to distinguish the morphological features of the spermatogonial nuclei and nucleoli and to further identify their distinct generations using an appropriate method to fix whole testes via vascular perfusion with glutaraldehyde, postfixation by immersion in reduced osmium, embedding in araldite, and staining of semithin tissue sections.

Cytogenetic effects of cyclophosphamide on mouse spermatogonia
Human Genetics, 1975NMRI mice were treated with single doses of cyclophosphamide (Cytoxan) and spermatogonia were analysed for chromosome aberrations at various time intervals after treatment. The maxima of aberrations were found 24 hrs p.i. Chromatid type aberrations were observed exclusively.

In Vitro Differentiation of Spermatogonia
2017Presence of functional spermatogonial population secures continuing spermatogenesis, by repeated commencement of spermatogenic cycles from them. In vitro manipulation of spermatogonia, thus, can be divided into two aspects: proliferation of spermatogonia for their maintenance and initiation of their differentiation toward sperm formation.

[Atypical spermatogonias as precancerous conditions].
Schweizerische medizinische Wochenschrift, 1977Atypical spermatogonia are relatively frequent in the vicinity of testicular teratomas or seminomas. These voluminous cells are seminoma-like, showing broad and clear cytoplasm borders, big nuclei and peculiarly enlarged nucleoli. Atypical spermatogonia usually line the tubules and displace the remaining Sertoli cells towards the middle of the tubules.
