Office‐Based Transoral Ultrasonography in the Diagnostic Workup of Oropharyngeal Cancer

This article demonstrates how to perform and interpret transoral ultrasound of the palatine and lingual tonsils in patients with suspected oropharyngeal cancer. This technique offers a reliable adjunct to conventional assessment but requires substantial operator experience and patient cooperation.

Efficacy of Intratympanic Sodium Thiosulfate Gel Injection to Prevent Cisplatin‐Induced Ototoxicity

This randomized controlled trial included 28 patients with head and neck cancer receiving cisplatin chemotherapy, with intratympanic sodium thiosulfate gel administered to one ear and the contralateral ear serving as control. Based on ASHA criteria, the incidence of ototoxicity did not differ significantly between treated and control ears.
