Study on the squeal noise of tires.

open access: yesNIPPON GOMU KYOKAISHI, 1994

More‐than‐gender? Moving beyond gendered expectations of divergent learners in early childhood education

open access: yesBritish Educational Research Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract In this paper, we explore how neurodivergent ways of being in early education are often gendered. The intersectionalities of gender and neurodivergence often lead to fixed expectations that perpetuate binary interpretations, pathologisations, missed diagnoses and a lack of curated support.

Impact Analysis and Optimization of Material Parameters of Insulator on Brake Squeal

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
In this paper, factors that account for the disc brake noise were explored with a bench test to fix the methods of reducing the brake squeal noise. The influence of the stiffness and damping of insulator on the noise of the braking system was analyzed by

Mechanism Analysis of a Low-Frequency Disc Brake Squeal Based on an Energy Feed-In Method for a Dual Coupling Subsystem

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2020
Brake squeal is a major component of vehicle noise. To explore the mechanism of the low-frequency brake squeal, a finite element model of an automobile disc brake was established, and a complex mode numerical simulation was performed.

A Study on the Analysis of Squeal Noise for Brake Design [PDF]

open access: yesTransactions of the Korean Society for Noise and Vibration Engineering, 2006
The phenomenon of squeal noise in the disk brake system has been, and still is, a. problem for the automotive industry. Extensive research has been carried out in an attempt to understand the mechanism that causes squeal noise and In developing design procedures to reduce squeal noise to make vehicles more comfortable.

Mapping Corporate Environment, Social, and Governance Discourses: Analysis of Korean Companies' Sustainability Reports (2014–2024)

open access: yesCorporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Corporations increasingly use Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reports to articulate their commitments, priorities, and performance in sustainability governance. This study examines how Korean firms have configured and reconfigured their sustainability discourses across industries and time using 634 sustainability reports (2014–2024)

Reduction of disc brake squeal noise using constrained layer dampers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Brakes squeal has remained to be one of the major Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NSH) challenges in brake system design and development. It has been a concern for automotive industry for decade.

Effect of Temperature Variations on Brake Squeal Characteristics in Disc Brake Systems

open access: yesEngineering Proceedings
Brake squeal is an undesirable high-frequency noise caused by vibrations induced by friction in disc brake systems. The noise is strongly affected by temperature, as this influences the material properties of the friction pair and the dynamic behaviour ...

Vocal Outcomes After Cell‐Based Outer Vocal Fold Implant in Porcine Bilateral Vocal Fold Resection

open access: yesThe Laryngoscope, EarlyView.
Cell‐based outer vocal fold replacement (COVR) was evaluated in a porcine model of bilateral vocal fold injury using longitudinal acoustic analysis and histologic assessment. COVR implantation resulted in recovery of the nonperiodic acoustic parameter Q50 to preoperative levels by 6 months, with implanted human adipose‐derived stem cells detected in 7 ...

An experimental study of the effect of surface morphology on squeal occurrence

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2013
Squealing is a major matter of concern for environmental issues and the raised expectations for superior performances in braking systems. Squealing, as well as other types of noise nuisances, contributes to noise pollution and leads to additional ...
