Bio‐Inspired, Zwitterionic Copolymers with Amphiphilic Character
Zwitterionic copolymers based on arginine‐derived monomers are produced by xanthate‐supported photo‐iniferter reversible‐addition‐fragmentation chain‐transfer polymerization. Experiments in relevant conditions show that the designed (co)polymers hardly interact with biologically relevant proteins and enzymes such as bovine serum albumine (BSA), fetal ...

Complementary Catalytic Strategies to Access ?-Chiral Aldehydes
The present article summarizes the development of two novel and complementary catalytic methods to access ?-chiral aldehydes. A C1-symmetric chiral (P,N) ligand with a structure derived from the ubiquitous binepine scaffold has been specifically

Concise Total Synthesis of (+)-Asperazine, (+)-Pestalazine A, and (+)-iso-Pestalazine A. Structure Revision of (+)-Pestalazine A [PDF]
The concise, enantioselective total syntheses of (+)-asperazine (1), (+)-iso-pestalazine A (2), and (+)-pestalazine A (3) have been achieved by the development of a late-stage C3–C8′ Friedel–Crafts union of polycyclic diketopiperazines.

Unsaturated biobased polyesters from bicyclic α‐pinene‐based diols
We present the synthesis of four biosourced unsaturated polyesters made from chiral terpene‐based diols and esters of renewable diacids. The resulting materials harbor a bicyclic pinene ring in their backbones which leads to enhanced thermal properties while still conferring susceptibility to enzyme hydrolysis for chains having a cis alkene.

Summary: In transition metal-catalyzed asymmetric synthesis, enantioselectivity strongly depends on the structures of chiral ligands, so the development of new chiral ligands is crucial.

SEQUENTIAL INDUCTION OF CHIRALITY IN POLY(PHENYLACETYLENE)S [PDF]
Several hierarchical levels of chirality have been detected in functionalized poly(phenylacetylene)s (PPA).1 In this work we have studied the chirality induction throughout these levels in PPA functionalized with phenylglycine methyl ester groups, Fig ...

The continuing significance of chiral agrochemicals
In the time frame 2018–2023, around 43% of the 35 chiral agrochemicals introduced to the market (herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, acaricides, and nematicides) contain one or more stereogenic centers in the molecule, and almost 69% of them have been marketed as racemic mixtures of enantiomers or stereoisomers.

First Enantioselective Synthesis of Tetracyclic Intermediates en route to Madangamine D [PDF]
The enantioselective synthesis of advanced tetracyclic precursors of madangamine D, bearing rings ABCD of this alkaloid, is reported. The saturated 14-membered ring is assembled from functionalized diazatricyclic intermediates 10 following either ring ...

In our study, we obtained both non‐covalent and covalent PLpro inhibitors. Additionally, the stable protein‐ligand interactions of the active compound were examined using advanced computational docking and molecular dynamics simulations. The non‐covalent inhibitor 2t showed antiviral activity with an EC50 of 2.89 µM, indicating its potential as a ...
