Understand the Specific Regio- and Enantioselectivity of Fluostatin Conjugation in the Post-Biosynthesis

open access: yesBiomolecules, 2020
Fluostatins, benzofluorene-containing aromatic polyketides in the atypical angucycline family, conjugate into dimeric and even trimeric compounds in the post-biosynthesis.

Enantioselective Reductive Alkenylation of α‐CF2H (‐CF3) Amino Halides: Rapid Access to Chiral α‐CF2H (‐CF3) Allylamines

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Difluoromethyl (CF2H) group, the bioisostere of hydroxyl thiol methyl or amide is privileged in medicinal chemistry due to hydrogen‐binding ability and lipophilic, metabolically stable, and chemical inert nature. However, enatioseleceive CF2H introduction remains challenging.

Stereospecific Assembly of Triply Chiral Pseudopeptidic Cages Through Dynamic Dual Chirality Transfer

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
The spontaneous assembly of triply chiral (L, Δ, P or D, Λ, M) cages has been achieved from a simple tripodal chiral effector based on phenylalanine tris(amidoamine), non‐chiral bipyridine dialdehyde, and a metal ion. Orthogonal imine bond and iron (II) coordination generate a single combination of chiral elements, while configurationally stable ...

Synthetic avenues towards a tetrasaccharide related to Streptococcus pneumonia of serotype 6A

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2018
Streptococcus pneumonia (SPn) is a Gram-positive bacterium which causes life threatening diseases. The bacteria protect themselves against non-specific host defence by an external polysaccharide (PS) capsule which bears a repeating unit, α-D-Galp(1->3)-α-

Characterization of the novel ene reductase Ppo-Er1 from paenibacillus polymyxa [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Ene reductases enable the asymmetric hydrogenation of activated alkenes allowing the manufacture of valuable chiral products. The enzymes complement existing metal- and organocatalytic approaches for the stereoselective reduction of activated C=C double ...

Hybridization of Homogeneous and Heterogeneous Catalysis to Develop a Novel Biocatalyst via Immobilization of Lipase on Surface Modified Mesoporous Silica Towards Biodiesel Synthesis Application

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, EarlyView.
The 3‐(methacryloyloxy)propyltrimethoxysilane surface functionalized SBA‐15 (MP‐SBA‐15) is used for the first time as a lipase carrier. The immobilized CAL‐B exhibits high thermal stability and superior catalytic activity. CAL‐B/SBA‐15 suggests that optimum hydrophobicity gives better catalytic activity.

PCA‐Based Database Mining Enables the Discovery of Bacterial Carbene Transferases for Stereodivergent Cyclopropanation

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Database mining using principal component analysis (PCA)‐based clustering enabled discovery of bacterial enzymes capable of catalyzing stereodivergent cyclopropanation of styrene. Statistical analyses of sequence data further revealed characteristic structural properties of these enzymes, highlighting the potential of the bioinformatics tools for ...

Stereoselective synthesis of tetrasubstituted alkenes via a sequential carbocupration and a new sulfur–lithium exchange

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2012
We have designed a new sequential carbocupration and sulfur–lithium exchange that leads stereo- and regioselectively to trisubstituted alkenyllithiums.
