Green and Sustainable Synthesis of Silver and Gold Nanoparticles: A Stevia Leaf Extract Approach

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 13, Issue 8, August 2025.
Stevia extracts offer a novel and environmentally friendly method for synthesizing silver (AgNPs) and gold (AuNPs) nanoparticles. The synthesized nanoparticles displayed characteristic surface plasmon resonance (SPR) in specific ranges and were confirmed to be spherical and well‐dispersed via TEM imaging.

Effect of Mineral Nitrogen Fertilization and Compost on Stevia Yield and its Profitability. [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Soil Sciences and Agricultural Engineering, 2017
Stevia (Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni) was recently introduced to Egyptian agriculture in order to produce a natural sweetener (Steviol glycosides ) instead of sugar (Sucrose) to cover some of the lack of sugar production, which reached annually about 0.8 ...

Callus Cultures and Morphogenesis of Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni

open access: yesJournal of Japan Oil Chemists' Society, 1981
Effects of auxins and cytokinins on callus induction of Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni and root differentiation from it was investigated. As for the auxin, 1-naphthaleneacetic acid (NAA) encouraged the callus induction more than 3-indoleacetic acid (IAA). As for the cytokinin, 2-isopentenylaminopurine (2-iP) afforded the best callus formation.

Eco‐Friendly Synthesis of Selenium Nanoparticles via Sternbergia candida: Enhancing Antioxidant Defense and Mitigating Salt Stress in Pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) Plants

open access: yesChemistryOpen, Volume 14, Issue 6, June 2025.
Sternbergia candida serves as a flexible reducing agent for the synthesis of SeNPs utilizing an economical and ecologically safe extract. Applications of selenium have demonstrated that plants cultivated in salinity preserve proper osmotic conditions and minimize cellular damage, as evidenced by photosynthetic pigments, proline, and MDA data.

Use of Limonium vulgare Mill. and Stevia in Rice Pudding Production and Determination of Quality Parameters During Storage

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 13, Issue 5, May 2025.
When the literature is examined, there are very few studies on milk desserts, especially rice pudding. In this study, the use of Limonium vulgare Mill. plant and stevia, which has never been used in rice pudding, was discussed. A functional milk dessert production was presented to the literature by comparing the use of stevia and sugar.
