Rhizohabitans arisaemae gen. nov., sp. nov., a novel actinomycete of the family Streptosporangiaceae

International Journal of Systematic and Evolutionary Microbiology, 2023
An actinomycete strain K14-0274T was isolated from the root of Arisaema thunbergii Blume subsp. urashima (H. Hara) H. Ohashi et J. Murata collected in Japan. The results of phylogenetic analysis based on the 16S rRNA gene sequence indicated thatK14-0274T could be distinguished from the members of all known genera, although it represented a member of ...

Thermocatellispora tengchongensis gen. nov., sp. nov., a new member of the family Streptosporangiaceae

International Journal of Systematic and Evolutionary Microbiology, 2012
A novel Gram-positive, aerobic, spore-forming, thermophilic actinomycete, designated strain YIM 77521T, was isolated from a sandy soil sample collected at Rehai National Park, Tengchong, Yunnan province, south-west China. The strain formed branched substrate mycelia and no fragmentation was found.

Desertiactinospora gelatinilytica gen. nov., sp. nov., a new member of the family Streptosporangiaceae isolated from the Karakum Desert

Antonie van Leeuwenhoek, 2018
A novel, Gram-positive, spore-forming actinomycete, designated strain 7K107T, was isolated from a soil sample collected from the Karakum Desert, Turkmenistan. Strain 7K107T forms extensively branched substrate mycelia and aerial mycelia which differentiate into short chains of spores. The novel strain contains meso-diaminopimelic acid as the diagnostic

The Family Streptosporangiaceae

2014
The family Streptosporangiaceae encompasses the genera Streptosporangiumastypegenus,Nonomuraea,Planomonospora, Planobispora, Microbispora, Planotetraspora, Herbidospora, Acrocarpospora, Thermopolyspora. On the basis of phylogenetic analysis, the genus Sinosporangium branches deeply and membership of the family is not clear.

Gyrase subunit B amino acid signatures for the actinobacterial family Streptosporangiaceae

Systematic and Applied Microbiology, 2014
Higher order taxonomic assignments (family level and above) in the phylum Actinobacteria are currently based only on 16S-rRNA gene sequence analyses. Additional molecular markers need to be identified to increase the number of reference points for defining actinobacterial families and other higher taxa.

Analysis of recombinase A (recA/RecA) in the actinobacterial family Streptosporangiaceae and identification of molecular signatures

Systematic and Applied Microbiology, 2015
The family Streptosporangiaceae (suborder Streptosporangineae) comprises 13 genera and 100 species with validly published names. In a recent study, gyrB gene sequences were obtained for members of the family Streptosporangiaceae and the GyrB amino acid sequences were analysed for molecular signatures.
