The crystal belongs to space group P212121, and the cell dimensions are a = 8.5300(5), b = 11.4516(9) and c = 23.893(1)A. The final R value is 0.047. There are two crystallographically independent molecules in an asymmetric unit. The pyranose rings in both molecules take chair conformations. The nitrosourea moieties are planar.
