Research on Analytical Solution of Stress Fields in Adjacent Tunnel Surrounding Rock Under Blasting and Verification Analysis

open access: yesApplied Sciences
In tunnel blasting, an analytical solution for dynamic stress in the surrounding rock of adjacent tunnels is critical for dynamic response analysis, mechanical evaluations, and crack propagation control.

Stress field of a near-surface basal screw dislocation in elastically anisotropic hexagonal crystals

open access: yesAIMS Materials Science, 2017
In this study, we derive and analyze the analytical expressions for stress components of the dislocation elastic field induced by a near-surface basal screw dislocation in a semi-infinite elastically anisotropic material with hexagonal crystal lattice ...

Improving PARP inhibitor efficacy in bladder cancer without genetic BRCAness by combination with PLX51107

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Clinical trials on PARP inhibitors in urothelial carcinoma (UC) showed limited efficacy and a lack of predictive biomarkers. We propose SLFN5, SLFN11, and OAS1 as UC‐specific response predictors. We suggest Talazoparib as the better PARP inhibitor for UC than Olaparib.

Surrogate modelling of thermal and residual stress fields in cold-spray additive manufacturing using machine learning

open access: yesVirtual and Physical Prototyping
In cold spray additive manufacturing, temperature and residual stress evolution significantly affect product quality and service life. Conventional finite element (FE) simulations provide predictions but are computationally expensive for large-scale ...

Class IIa HDACs forced degradation allows resensitization of oxaliplatin‐resistant FBXW7‐mutated colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
HDAC4 is degraded by the E3 ligase FBXW7. In colorectal cancer, FBXW7 mutations prevent HDAC4 degradation, leading to oxaliplatin resistance. Forced degradation of HDAC4 using a PROTAC compound restores drug sensitivity by resetting the super‐enhancer landscape, reprogramming the epigenetic state of FBXW7‐mutated cells to resemble oxaliplatin ...

Architecture of the upper crust along the WARR deep seismic profile SHIELD’21 across Ukraine based on seismic and geological data

open access: yesГеофизический журнал
For the first time a seismic image of the East-European Craton upper crust between the Carpathians and the Dnieper-Donets Basin is presented, based on the finite-difference reflection/refraction migration processing of the SHIELD’21 deep profile results

Stress Field Distribution and Deformation Law of Large Deformation Tunnel Excavation in Soft Rock Mass

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
The problem of large deformation is very prominent in deep-buried tunnel excavation in soft rock, which brings serious potential safety hazards and economic losses to projects.

Hyper-stresses in k $k$ -Jet Field Theories

open access: yesJournal of Elasticity, 2018
For high-order continuum mechanics and classical field theories configurations are modeled as sections of general fiber bundles and generalized velocities are modeled as variations thereof. Smooth stress fields are considered and it is shown that three distinct mathematical stress objects play the roles of the traditional stress tensor of continuum ...

Molecular characterisation of human penile carcinoma and generation of paired epithelial primary cell lines

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Generation of two normal and tumour (cancerous) paired human cell lines using an established tissue culture technique and their characterisation is described. Cell lines were characterised at cellular, protein, chromosome and gene expression levels and for HPV status.

Cis‐regulatory and long noncoding RNA alterations in breast cancer – current insights, biomarker utility, and the critical need for functional validation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The noncoding region of the genome plays a key role in regulating gene expression, and mutations within these regions are capable of altering it. Researchers have identified multiple functional noncoding mutations associated with increased cancer risk in the genome of breast cancer patients.
