Identification, characterization and forensic application of novel Y-STRs [PDF]
Y-chromosomal polymorphic STRs are a powerful tool for forensic and evolutionary studies. Within the last decade, a series of Y-STR systems have been developed and demonstrated to be suitable for a variety of forensic applications including sexual ...

Optimizing photoactivation of PA‐mCherry for optical pooled CRISPR screens
Photoactivatable PA‐mCherry finds widespread use to optically tag individual cells. However, confocal 405 nm UV laser‐scanning (normal scan) is much less efficient than widefield UV illumination, limiting the use of PA‐mCherry on confocal instruments. We remedy this limitation by reporting that rapid and repeated confocal scanning with a low‐intensity,

First mutation rate analysis Of 24 autosomal STRs in Argentina
We investigate the mutation rates of autosomal STRs in paternity tests including trios or duos, in our laboratory, along a period of ten years. We analyzed 5986 parent-child meiosis including 24 autosomal STRs, corresponded into the expanded CODIS core ...

Loss of AMBRA1 activates MAPK and angiogenesis signaling pathways in melanoma cells
Loss of AMBRA1 in melanoma cells activates multiple oncogenic pathways associated with tumor progression. Transcriptomic and protein network analyses revealed that AMBRA1 depletion enhances MAPK/ERK signaling, angiogenesis, TGF‐β/EMT signaling, and Wnt/axon guidance pathways.

NMR metabolomics revealed concentration‐dependent metabolic perturbations in HepG2 cells exposed to H2O2. Rifampicin pretreatment enhanced metabolic competence, attenuated toxin‐induced alterations and produced metabolite profiles more consistent with human liver physiology, supporting the use of CYP450‐induced HepG2 models for improved in vitro ...
