A new formula for the structured singular value [PDF]
The concept of structured singular value was recently introduced by Doyle as a tool for analysis and synthesis of feedback systems with structured uncertainties. It is a key to the design of control systems under joint robustness and performance specifications and it nicely complements the H? approach to control system design.

Nearest common root of a set of polynomials: A structured singular value approach [PDF]
The paper considers the problem of calculating the nearest common root of a polynomial set under perturbations in their coefficients. In particular, we seek the minimum-magnitude perturbation in the coefficients of the polynomial set such that the ...

Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Matrix Nearness Problems,
In this paper, we investigate the interconnection between $D$ -stability and the structured singular value ( $\mu $ -values) to analyze linear time invariant dynamical systems subject to structured uncertainties.

Interpreting Deep Graph Convolutional Networks with Spectrum Perspective
Graph convolutional network (GCN) architecture is the basis of many neural networks and has been widely used in processing graph-structured data. When dealing with large and sparse data, deeper GCN models are often required.

Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

An unexpected alternative interaction site for ethyl viologen was identified in formate dehydrogenase 1 from Methylorubrum extorquens. Combined mutagenesis, kinetic analysis, and docking revealed that aromatic residues near an iron–sulfur cluster enable flavin mononucleotide‐independent electron transfer, offering a framework for engineering improved ...

Block-encoding structured matrices for data input in quantum computing [PDF]
The cost of data input can dominate the run-time of quantum algorithms. Here, we consider data input of arithmetically structured matrices via $\textit{block encoding}$ circuits, the input model for the quantum singular value transform and related ...
