Effect of fat levels in early phase on growth performance and meat characteristics in twin lambs

open access: yesCzech Journal of Animal Science, 2021
This experiment aims to study the effects of dietary fat level during the suckling period on growth performance and meat characteristics in twin lambs. Thirty pairs of male twin Hu lambs were divided into two groups, namely high fat (HF) and normal fat ...

Friendship in the New Political Theologies

open access: yesModern Theology, Volume 42, Issue 3, Page 686-707, July 2026.
Abstract As a distinct academic discipline, political theology rose and fell with Carl Schmitt. If there was any hope of redeeming it, the discipline would have to be entirely renewed. A deep‐seated and understudied feature of that renewal lies in the reconceptualisation of the political relation.

Effect of restricted suckling time on milk components and sucking behavior of lambs

open access: yes, 2009
. The experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of different suckling systems in non-dairy sheep on the production and components of milk, sucking behavior and lamb growth from day 4 after lambing until the lambs were 4 weeks old.

Inclusion of propylene glycol in the diet of sheep and its effect on their lambs’ protein and mineral metabolites

open access: yesActa Scientiarum: Animal Sciences, 2017
The aim of this study was to assess the effect of propylene glycol (PG) added to the water sheep drank during lactation on protein and mineral metabolites of their suckling lambs. We assessed 24 lambs born to sheep fed levels of propylene glycol in the

Dietary Supplementation of L-Arginine and N-Carbamylglutamate Attenuated the Hepatic Inflammatory Response and Apoptosis in Suckling Lambs with Intrauterine Growth Retardation

open access: yesMediators of Inflammation, 2020
L-arginine (Arg) is a semiessential amino acid with several physiological functions. N-Carbamylglutamate (NCG) can promote the synthesis of endogenous Arg in mammals.

Early insulin release following suckling in neonatal lambs and rabbits [PDF]

open access: yesDiabetologia, 1979
Developmental changes in the plasma insulin response to milk ingestion have been determined in neonatal lambs fed by bottle and in naturally suckled infant rabbits. In lambs at 4 days of age and older plasma insulin increased within 5 min of suckling and declined again before increasing to a second peak 60 to 120 min after the feed.

Milk Yield and Composition Curves During the Postweaning Machine‐Milking Period in Red Deer Hinds

open access: yesNew Zealand Journal of Agricultural Research, Volume 69, Issue 3, June 2026.
Deer milk is a dairy product valued for its unique composition and market potential. Research into deer lactation dynamics remains limited. In this study, 4,386 test‐day records from 170 red deer (Cervus elaphus L.) hinds in New Zealand were used to model the milk yield and composition curves using random regression models based on Legendre polynomials.
