Antibiotics in Raw Meat Samples: Estimation of Dietary Exposure and Risk Assessment

open access: yesToxics, 2022
The extensive use of antibiotics in livestock farming poses increased concerns for human health as residues of these substances are present in edible tissues.

Stabilizing Atomically Dispersed Au With Adjacent Pt for Spatially Precise Molecule Recognition

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A strategy to stabilize atomically dispersed Au catalysts by introducing Pt atoms into CeO2 supports is presented. Pt incorporation prevents Au aggregation, enhances Au‐O orbital coupling, and enables precise recognition of multi‐functionalized molecules, improving catalytic performance and the structural stability of Au‐based catalysts in ...

Azobenzene-based inhibitors of human carbonic anhydrase II

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2015
Aryl sulfonamides are a widely used drug class for the inhibition of carbonic anhydrases. In the context of our program of photochromic pharmacophores we were interested in the exploration of azobenzene-containing sulfonamides to block the catalytic ...

Nickel-Catalyzed Kumada Cross-Coupling Reactions of Benzylic Sulfonamides

open access: yesMolecules, 2021
Herein, we report a Kumada cross-coupling reaction of benzylic sulfonamides. The scope of the transformation includes acyclic and cyclic sulfonamide precursors that cleanly produce highly substituted acyclic fragments.

Substrate‐Affinitive P‐Type Azapolycyclic Photosensitizer for Chemoselective Nitrilization Under Mild Conditions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We developed a series of quinoxalinoquinoxaline (QQ) photosensitizers featuring high and tunable excited‐state reduction potentials (E(PC•+/PC*) = –1.76 to –2.05 V vs. SCE). Their hydrogen‐bonding interaction with carbonyl substrates enables selective single‐electron transfer events for selective nitrilization of 1° amides, offering a tunable ...

Quantifying Antibiotic Distribution in Solid and Liquid Fractions of Manure Using a Two-Step, Multi-Residue Antibiotic Extraction

open access: yesAntibiotics, 2022
Antibiotic distribution and analysis within liquid and solid fractions of manure are highly variable due to each compound’s respective physiochemical properties.

Covalent Reprogramming of Kinase Binders to Modulate Protein Abundance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Electrophilic remodeling of a broad‐spectrum kinase binder reveals how subtle chemical changes reprogram protein fate. An acrylamide analog of a multi‐kinase binder selectively stabilizes Aurora kinase A (AURKA) by suppressing its ubiquitination, while a short‐linker variant converts this stabilizer into a degrader.

Iron‐Photocatalyzed C(sp3)–H Phosphonylation of Alkanes

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Alkyl phosphonates are valuable motifs that can be prepared by phosphonylations of various common functional groups. However, direct phosphonylations of C(sp3)–H bonds are limited to activated positions. Herein, we report an iron‐photocatalyzed phosphonylation of unactivated C(sp3)–H bonds using a novel phosphite radical trap, which is equipped with an

Bioaccumulation and Depletion of the Antibiotic Sulfadiazine 14C in Lambari (Astyanax bimaculatus)

open access: yesAnimals, 2023
Antibiotics are present in the environment, primarily due to their release through wastewater treatment plants, agricultural practices, and improper disposal of unused medications.

A Dual‐Functional Biohybrid Nanorobot to Synergistically Eradicate Biofilm and Degrade Antibiotic Resistance Genes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A biohybrid nanorobot integrating lytic bacteriophage N4 with Pd nanozymes is developed for targeted eradication of multidrug‐resistant E. coli biofilms. Synergistic bacterial lysis and ROS‐mediated oxidation enable simultaneous biofilm removal and antibiotic resistance genes degradation, maintaining high efficacy in complex wastewater environments ...
