Series representations for densities functions of a family of distributions—Application to sums of independent random variables [PDF]
Series representations for several density functions are obtained as mixtures of generalized gamma distributions with discrete mass probability weights, by using the exponential expansion and the binomial theorem.

This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

On limit distributions of vertex degrees in a configuration graph
The configuration graph where vertex degrees are independent identically distributed random variables is often used for models of complex networks such as the Internet. We consider a random graph consisting of N+1 vertices.

Approximating the Sum of Independent Non-Identical Binomial Random Variables
The distribution of the sum of independent non-identical binomial random variables is frequently encountered in areas such as genomics, healthcare, and operations research.

Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic

Sums of independent random variables and the Burkholder transforms [PDF]
This note shows a connection between the unconditionally a.e. convergence of series with independent increments and the a.e. convergence of their Burkholder transforms. Using this result, it is then proved that the

Many patients with urothelial cancer do not benefit from treatment with pembrolizumab, while at risk of severe side effects. Changes in the levels of circulating tumor DNA early during treatment, measured by a simple and affordable assay that can be easily implemented in the clinic, can be used as a prognostic tool to identify these patients.

On the Mixed Sum of Doubly Infinite and Finite Independent Random Variables
The aim of the present paper is to study the distribution of the mixed sum of two random variables. Here we establish a theorem which gives the probability density function (pdf) of sum of doubly infinite and finite independent random variables.
