ENHANCED SOLUBILITY AND DISSOLUTION BY SURFACE-MODIFIED SOLID DISPERSION OF ALECTINIB HYDROCHLORIDE
Objective: Alectinib hydrochloride (AH), a poorly soluble drug, exhibits low solubility thereby very low bioavailability. The present study aims to develop and optimize surface-modified solid dispersion of AH (AH-SMSD) with enhanced solubility and dissolution using Soluplus® (SOL) and Gelucire 44/14 (GEL) as a polymer and surfactant, respectively ...

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

NMR as a Tool to Characterize the Aggregation Structure of Silica Nanoparticles in a Liquid
The NMR-based solvent relaxation technique, a non-invasive tool to characterize the surface of particles, which are dispersed in a liquid, was applied to characterize the nanoparticles’ aggregation structure.

Dynamics of a Monolayer of Microspheres on an Elastic Substrate [PDF]
We present a model for wave propagation in a monolayer of spheres on an elastic substrate. The model, which considers sagittally polarized waves, includes: horizontal, vertical, and rotational degrees of freedom; normal and shear coupling between the ...

Development of therapies targeting cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) necessitates preclinical model systems that faithfully represent CAF–tumor biology. We established an in vitro coculture system of patient‐derived pancreatic CAFs and tumor cell lines and demonstrated its recapitulation of primary CAF–tumor biology with single‐cell transcriptomics ...

The theory of electron states on the dynamically deformed adsorbed surface of a solid
Dispersion relations for the spectra of surface electron states on a dynamically deformed adsorbed surface of a monocrystal with the Zinc blende structure are received. It is established that the dependences of the band gap width and of the concentration

Effective therapeutic targeting of CTNNB1‐mutant hepatoblastoma with WNTinib
WNTinib, a Wnt/CTNNB1 inhibitor, was tested in hepatoblastoma (HB) experimental models. It delayed tumor growth and improved survival in CTNNB1‐mutant in vivo models. In organoids, WNTinib outperformed cisplatin and showed enhanced efficacy in combination therapy, supporting its potential as a targeted treatment for CTNNB1‐mutated HB.
