Abstract EFSA has received a request for a rapid risk assessment for cereulide from the European Commission. Cereulide is a heat‐stable emetic toxin produced by Bacillus cereus, recently detected in infant formulae from multiple manufacturers. This led to precautionary recalls across several countries.

Toward Sustainable Pesticide Application: Bridging Efficacy and Food Safety

A fully bio‐based lignin coacervate system is developed for pesticide delivery, enhancing leaf retention, UV resistance, adhesion, and wetting. The formulation enables pH/laccase‐triggered release for prolonged action, reduces ecological toxicity, and is fully washable, reconciling agricultural efficacy with food and environmental safety.

Summary Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF), similar to other filamentous fungi, develop extensive hyphal networks collectively known as mycelia.
