Bioregulators on seed germination and seedling growth of sweet basil
Basil (Ocimum basilicum L.) plants have multiple uses, ranging from spice to cosmetic purpose, besides being a source of essential oil and aromatic. These plants were commonly propagated by seed, however, few agrotechnologies are used to enhance the seed germination and initial growth in this crop.

The study analysed essential oils and mycotoxins in five types of spices. The results showed variability in oil yield and detection of T‐2 and HT‐2 toxin concentrations, highlighting the importance of quality assessment of spices to ensure food safety.
