Pyrolysis of sweet orange (Citrus sinensis) dry peel

Journal of Analytical and Applied Pyrolysis, 2009
Abstract Three different products were obtained from the pyrolysis of dry peel sweet orange: bio-oil, char and non-condensable gases. The yield of each product was determined. The bio-oil was characterized by GC–MS to determine that can be used as a renewable source of valuable industrial chemicals or as a source of energy, high heating value was ...

Abstract A single GA 3 -spray at petal-fall to the entire tree enhanced initial set in the ‘Navelate’ sweet orange ( Citrus sinensis L. Osbeck), but this effect was transient and in most cases final yield was not increased. When followed by girdling, final yield was increased even in the most productive orchards, this effect being due to an increase

Regrowth and flowering in sweet orange after pruning

Australian Journal of Agricultural Research, 1973
Sweet orange trees, cv. Late Valencia, 6 m in height were moderately pruned in the spring of 1969, up to 8 % of the canopy being removed. Over 2 years, three or four growth cycles were completed. The amount of regrowth was correlated with the size of the first growth cycle flush after pruning, and this was correlated with the diameter of the pruned ...
