Transcriptional Regulation and Combinatorial Genetic Logic in Synthetic Bacterial Circuits [PDF]
We engineered several synthetic regulatory circuits to study transcriptional regulation in bacteria. We developed a new technique for DNA construction, built and characterized in vivo a library of genetic logic gates, examined the role of genetic noise ...

Validation of Synthetic CRISPR Reagents as a Tool for Arrayed Functional Genomic Screening. [PDF]
To date, lentiviral-based CRISPR-Cas9 screens have largely been conducted in pooled format. However, numerous assays are not amenable to pooled approaches, and lentiviral screening in arrayed format presents many challenges.

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

DNA-Based asymmetric catalysis as a synthetic tool [PDF]
De helische structuur van DNA heeft altijd al aantrekkingskracht gehad op chemici. In onze groep hebben we DNA gebruikt om een enantioselectieve katalysator te ontwikkelen.

DNA-based biosensor platforms for the detection of TP53 mutation [PDF]
A DNA-based assay for the detection of one-point mutation in TP53 gene, responsible for lung cancer, was developed using a surface plasmon resonance (SPR) and a quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) biosensor systems.

This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.

Lego DNA assembling, a simple in vitro method for constructing DNA molecule [PDF]
Digestion-ligation based and recombination based methods for constructing recombinant DNA are the basic techniques in molecular biology and thus built one of the foundations for the modern life sciences. Here we describe a new strategy that can radically

Correction of the neuropathogenic human apolipoprotein E4 (APOE4) gene to APOE3 in vitro using synthetic RNA/DNA oligonucleotides (chimeraplasts) [PDF]
Apolipoprotein E (apoE) is a multifunctional circulating 34-kDa protein, whose gene encodes single-nucleotide polymorphisms linked to several neurodegenerative diseases.
