Clinical factors associated with pneumocystis pneumonia despite its primary prophylaxis: When to stop prophylaxis?

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, Accepted Article.
Objective Although previous studies show that primary prophylaxis against Pneumocystis jirovecii pneumonia (PJP) is effective in patients with rheumatic diseases receiving immunosuppressive treatment, there is limited evidence regarding the optimal timing for prophylaxis withdrawal.

Epidemiological survey of patients with pustular psoriasis in the Japanese Society for Psoriasis Research from 2017 to 2020

open access: yesThe Journal of Dermatology, Volume 50, Issue 1, Page 3-11, January 2023., 2023
Abstract The Japanese Society for Psoriasis Research (JSPR) has been conducting annual epidemiological surveys of patients with pustular psoriasis in Japan since 2017. This study aimed to conduct a recent epidemiological analysis of patients with pustular psoriasis who were enrolled in the JSPR from 2017 to 2020.

CYP3A-status is associated with blood concentration and dose-requirement of tacrolimus in heart transplant recipients

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
High inter-individual variability in tacrolimus clearance is attributed to genetic polymorphisms of CYP3A enzymes. However, due to CYP3A phenoconversion induced by non-genetic factors, continuous changes in tacrolimus-metabolizing capacity entail ...

Role of Diltiazem on Tacrolimus Pharmacokinetics in Tacrolimus‐Induced Nephrotoxic Rats [PDF]

open access: yesPharmacology & Toxicology, 1999
Abstract:The effects of diltiazem on tacrolimus pharmacokinetics during tacrolimus‐induced nephrotoxicity were studied. In normal rats, co‐administration of diltiazem significantly increased AUC0–∞of tacrolimus and reduced total body clearance, Cltot, after intravenous and oral administration.

The tacrolimus concentration‐to‐dose ratio is associated with kidney function in heart transplant recipients

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Abstract Aim Heart transplantation (HT) is frequently complicated by chronic kidney disease, of which tacrolimus‐related nephrotoxicity is an important cause. In kidney and liver transplant recipients, fast tacrolimus metabolism (defined as a low concentration‐to‐dose [C0/D] ratio), negatively affects kidney function.

Individualized dosing parameters for tacrolimus in the presence of voriconazole: a real-world PopPK study

open access: yesFrontiers in Pharmacology
ObjectivesSignificant increase in tacrolimus exposure was observed during co-administration with voriconazole, and no population pharmacokinetic model exists for tacrolimus in renal transplant recipients receiving voriconazole.
