Tandem Mass Spectrometry across Platforms
PubChem serves as a comprehensive repository, housing over 100 million unique chemical structures representing the breadth of our chemical knowledge across numerous fields including metabolism, pharmaceuticals, toxicology, cosmetics, agriculture, and many more. Rapid identification of these small molecules increasingly relies on electrospray ionization

Liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry - Application in the clinical laboratory [PDF]
This review provides a concise survey of liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LCTMS) as an emerging technology in clinical chemistry. The combination of two mass spectrometers with an interposed collision cell characterizes LCTMS as an ...

Quantification of sirolimus by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry using on-line solid-phase extraction [PDF]
Quantification of the new immunosuppressant sirolimus (syn. rapamycin; Rapamune((R))) in whole blood by chromatography is essential for its clinical use since no immunoassay is available although monitoring is mandatory.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Monolysocardiolipin in cultured fibroblasts is a sensitive and specific marker for Barth Syndrome
Barth Syndrome (BTHS) is an X-linked recessive disorder that results in abnormal metabolism of the mitochondrial phospholipid cardiolipin (CL). CLs are decreased and monolysocardiolipins (MLCLs), intermediates in CL metabolism, are increased in a variety

ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

Dual targeting of RET and SRC synergizes in RET fusion‐positive cancer cells
Despite the strong activity of selective RET tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), resistance of RET fusion‐positive (RET+) lung cancer and thyroid cancer frequently occurs and is mainly driven by RET‐independent bypass mechanisms. Son et al. show that SRC TKIs significantly inhibit PAK and AKT survival signaling and enhance the efficacy of RET TKIs in ...
