YAP/TAZ initiate and maintain Schwann cell myelination
Nuclear exclusion of the transcriptional regulators and potent oncoproteins, YAP/TAZ, is considered necessary for adult tissue homeostasis. Here we show that nuclear YAP/TAZ are essential regulators of peripheral nerve development and myelin maintenance.

Hippo-YAP/TAZ signaling in angiogenesis
Angiogenesis is a complex, multistep process involving dynamic changes in endothelial cell (EC) shapes and behaviors, especially in specialized cell types such as tip cells (with active filopodial extensions), stalk cells (with less motility) and phalanx cells (with stable junction connections).

TAZ deficiency exacerbates psoriatic pathogenesis by increasing the histamine-releasing factor
Background Transcriptional coactivator with PDZ-biding motif (TAZ) is widely expressed in most tissues and interacts with several transcription factors to regulate cell proliferation, differentiation, and death, thereby influencing organ development and ...

TAZ enhances the activity of the AKT signaling pathway to promote adipogenesis of gADSCs
Adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (ADSCs) possess the capacity for multidirectional differentiation, including differentiation into adipocytes. However, the molecular mechanisms that control adipogenesis are not yet fully understood.Transcriptional ...

Bladder cancer (BLCA) is a prevalent malignancy characterized by high recurrence and metastasis rates. Emerging evidence suggests that the NRF2-GPX4 axis is closely associated with ferroptosis. The transcriptional coactivator with PDZ-binding motif (TAZ)

AMPK stimulation inhibits YAP/TAZ signaling to ameliorate hepatic fibrosis
Hepatic fibrosis is driven by the activation of hepatic stellate cells (HSCs). The Hippo pathway and its effectors, YAP and TAZ, are key regulators of HSC activation and fibrosis.

A non-canonical repressor function of JUN restrains YAP activity and liver cancer growth
Yes-associated protein (YAP) and its homolog, transcriptional coactivator with PDZ-binding motif (TAZ), are the main transcriptional downstream effectors of the Hippo pathway.
