Solidification and Stabilization of Spent TBP/OK Organic Liquids in a Phosphate Acid-Based Geopolymer

open access: yesScience and Technology of Nuclear Installations, 2020
A method for solidifying spent tributyl phosphate and kerosene (TBP/OK) organic liquids in a phosphate acid-based geopolymer (PAG) was investigated. The TBP/OK emulsion containing tween 80 (T80), TBP/OK organic liquids, and H3PO4 was prepared. The TBP/OK

SAGA binds TBP via its Spt8 subunit in competition with DNA: implications for TBP recruitment [PDF]

open access: yesThe EMBO Journal, 2006
In yeast, the multisubunit SAGA (Spt-Ada-Gcn5-acetyltransferase) complex acts as a coactivator to recruit the TATA-binding protein (TBP) to the TATA box, a critical step in eukaryotic gene regulation. However, it is unclear which SAGA subunits are responsible for SAGA's direct interactions with TBP and precisely how SAGA recruits TBP to the promoter ...

Spiro‐Phenothiazine Hole‐Transporting Materials: Unlocking Stability and Scalability in Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Fluorene‐functionalized spiro‐phenothiazine (PTZ‐Fl) exhibits strong Li+ affinity and thermal stability, enabling a PCE of 25.75% in small‐area cells and 22.07% in 25 cm2 modules. Under ISOS‐L3 conditions, PTZ‐Flbased devices retain over 80% efficiency after 1000 hours, demonstrating superior stability and scalability compared to spiro‐OMeTAD for next ...

Evidence for Itinerant Ferromagnetic Flat Bands Producing Large Transverse Responses

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Itinerant ferromagnetic flat bands are demonstrated in GdCo5 with a high Curie temperature of 940K, a stacked honeycomb–kagome lattice, through angle‐resolved photoemission spectroscopy and magneto‐thermoelectric measurements. These topological flat bands generate large Berry curvaturte, producing gigantic anomalous Nernst effect with record‐high ...

Bioequivalence of two oral formulations of tebipenem pivoxil hydrobromide in healthy subjects

open access: yesClinical and Translational Science, 2022
Tebipenem pivoxil hydrobromide (TBP‐PI‐HBr) is a novel oral carbapenem prodrug of tebipenem (TBP), the active moiety, currently in development for treating serious bacterial infections.

Activation of a T-box-Otx2-Gsc gene network independent of TBP and TBP-related factors [PDF]

open access: yesDevelopment, 2016
The developmental program relies on activating and repressing regulatory influences which are faithfully integrated at the core promoter of individual genes. In vertebrates, the basal machinery recognizing the core promoter includes TATA binding protein (TBP) and two TBP-related factors. In Xenopus embryos the three TBP family factors are all essential

Mutational analysis of BTAF1-TBP interaction: BTAF1 can rescue DNA-binding defective TBP mutants

open access: yes, 2005
The BTAF1 transcription factor interacts with TATA-binding protein (TBP) to form the B-TFIID complex, which is involved in RNA polymerase II transcription. Here, we present an extensive mapping study of TBP residues involved in BTAF1 interaction.

Programmable 3D Photovoltaics via Mechanically Origami‐Coded Interlocked 3D Kirigami and Nano‐Root Anchored AgNWs–In–Ga Multiphasic Alloy Conductor

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Mechanically origami‐coded 3D kirigami photovoltaics convert a single extension–release cycle into deterministic self‐folding, reconfiguring planar solar cells into programmable 3D modules. Distinct coding strategies enable either ultrahigh stretchability (500% system strain) or ultrahigh initial effective areal coverage (225%).

Functions of Mediator and the RNA Polymerase II C-terminal Domain in Transcription Initiation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
RNA polymerase II (RNAPII) has been identified almost 40 years ago, but the molecular details of its regulation and fine tuning during messenger RNA (mRNA) synthesis are still far from understood. Subsequently to RNAPII six general transcription factors (
