A free-field equalizer for TDH 39 earphones

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1983
The free-field response of TDH 39 earphones, mounted in MX 41/AR cushions, is determined by loudness comparisons in an anechoic chamber. Based on these data, a passive equalizing network with two resonances at 720 and 6000 Hz is developed and realized. When used with this free-field equalizer, the earphone TDH 39 produces a free-field equivalent level ...

Comparison of DT 48, TDH 49, and TDH 39 earphones

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1979
The frequency responses of the earphones TDH 49, TDH 39, and DT 48 (the latter with and without free-field equalizer) were compared by means of measuring hearing threshold curves. While the TDH 39 and TDH 49 give almost identical results (average deviations 2 dB), the TDH 49 and DT 48 show moderate (5 dB) differences. In the most usual application mode,

Epidemiological Evidence of Lesser Role of Thermostable Direct Hemolysin (TDH)–Related Hemolysin (TRH) Than TDH on Vibrio parahaemolyticus Pathogenicity

Foodborne Pathogens and Disease, 2015
Vibrio parahaemolyticus carrying the tdh gene, encoding the thermostable direct hemolysin (TDH), or the trh gene, encoding the TDH-related hemolysin (TRH), are both considered virulent strains. There are, however, disproportionally fewer reports of infections caused by seafood contaminated with trh-positive strains than by seafood contaminated with tdh-

NBS-9A coupler-to-eardrum transformation: TDH-39 and TDH-49 earphones

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1986
A transformation was derived to convert sound-pressure levels referenced to an NBS-9A coupler to corresponding eardrum sound-pressure levels. It was found that the same transformation may be used for male and female adults and for both TDH-39 and TDH-49 earphones in MX-41/AR supra-aural cushions.

Urea Hydrolysis and Suppressed Production of Thermostable Direct Hemolysin (TDH) by Vibrio parahaemolyticus Associated with Presence of TDH-Related Hemolysin Genes

Current Microbiology, 1997
A total of 18 strains of V. parahaemolyticus isolated from patients of past food poisoning cases occurring in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, were assayed for presence of the thermostable direct hemolysin (TDH) gene and the TDH-related hemolysin (TRH) genes (trh 1 and trh 2) with specific reference to their ability to hydrolyze urea and TDH production.

Enzyme-labeled oligonucleotide probes for detection of the genes for theromostable direct hemolysin (TDH) and TDH-related hemolysin (TRH) of Vibrio parahaemolyticus

Canadian Journal of Microbiology, 1992
Alkaline phosphatase conjugated oligonucleotide probes were developed to detect the genes (tdh and trh) coding for the thermostable direct hemolysin (TDH) and TDH-related hemolysin (TRH) of Vibrio parahaemolyticus. Using dot blot hybridization, probes were tested with 94 clinical isolates of V. parahaemolyticus. Results agreed well with those obtained

Occurrence of urease-positive Vibrio parahaemolyticus in Kanagawa, Japan, with specific reference to presence of thermostable direct hemolysin (TDH) and the TDH-related-hemolysin genes

Applied and Environmental Microbiology, 1996
A total of 132 strains of V. parahaemolyticus isolated from patients and from the suspected causal food items of past food poisoning cases occurring in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, were examined for the ability to hydrolyze urea, with specific reference to the presence of the thermostable direct hemolysin gene (tdh) and the gene for thermostable direct ...

Development of Multienzyme Isothermal Rapid Amplification (MIRA) Combined With Lateral-Flow Dipstick (LFD) Assay to Detect Species-Specific Tlh and Pathogenic Trh and Tdh Genes of Vibrio parahaemolyticus

open access: yesPathogens
Vibrio parahaemolyticus causes severe gastroenteritis in humans after consuming contaminated raw or undercooked seafood. A species-specific marker, the thermolabile hemolysin (tlh) gene, and two pathogenic markers, thermostable-related hemolysin (trh ...

FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR THE SELF-CALIBRATION OF THE AUDIOMETRIC TDH-39 EARPHONE

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1971
A method of calibrating the audiometric TDH-39 earphone is developed that eliminates the requirement for expensive calibration equipment. This form of reciprocity calibration has been examined and evaluated for 25 pairs of TDH-39 earphones. Two earphones of a headset are alternately used as transmitters and receivers, acoustically coupled in a small ...

Tree coding combined with TDHS for speech coding at 6.4 and 4.8 kbps

Speech Communication, 1999
Tree coding is combined with time domain harmonic scaling (TDHS) for speech coding at 6.4 and 4.8 kbps. In order to improve the robustness to channel errors, new pitch predictor, short-term predictor adaptation and gain adaptation methods are proposed for tree coder.
