Teleoperator Visual System Simulations

Journal of Spacecraft and Rockets, 1973
A stereoscopic television system, with a fresnel display, and a monoscopic television system were evaluated for teleoperator application using man-in-the-loop visual and motion simulations. Static simulations were used to investigate camera locations and depth alignment.

Language-aided robotic teleoperation system (LARTS) for advanced teleoperation

IEEE Journal on Robotics and Automation, 1987
The language-aided robotic teleoperation system incorporates two sets of teieoperational languages with a master-slave manipulator. One offers flexible means, called software jigs, to specify motion constraints superimposed on operational motion, simplifying task motion.

Modeling of nanomanipulation with an integrated teleoperated system

2005 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Biomimetics - ROBIO, 2005
This paper described an integrated system with an atomic force microscope designed for nanomanipulation. Simulation of the nanomanipulation process was accomplished by estimating the interactive forces between molecules of the AFM tip and the sample based on the principle of contact mechanics.

Modeling of Teleoperation System

2015
The teleoperation system usually consists of three components, i.e., the master robot, the slave robot, and the communication network. In the chapter, we present the modeling of three components. First, we describe the mathematical formulation of kinematics and dynamics for the master and slave robot; for simplification, we take the robotic ...

Presentation consistency in collaborative teleoperation systems

2005 IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems, 2005
Collaborative teleoperation is a new concept to deal with highly complex tasks. It is being made possible by the quick advance in the technologies of Internet, shared virtual environments and robotics. Due to the heterogeneity of the Internet, operators participating in the collaboration from geographically distributed locations might receive feedback ...

A Criterion for Evaluating Competitive Teleoperation System

2006 IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems, 2006
This paper proposes a kind of criterion, which is called degree of satisfaction (DoS). It is utilized to evaluate the competitive teleoperation. We focus on the feather of competitive teleoperation and utilize the criterion to analyze the system. To demonstrate the degree of satisfaction is an effective criterion, a set of competitive teleoperation ...

Stability and Transparency for Scaled Teleoperation System

2006 IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems, 2006
In this paper, a bilateral controller for a microteleoperation system is presented using passivity approaches. We showed that the application of wave variable formalism allows the passivity of the system in spite of the communication delays between the master and the slave and the varying scaling factors.

Gain-scheduling control of a teleoperation system

2009 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man and Cybernetics, 2009
This paper presents a control design framework for robust teleoperation. The teleoperation system with uncertainties is modeled as a linear parameter varying plant to employ the gain-scheduling control framework. The time-varying transmission delay, disturbances, and uncertainty of the environment are considered in the design of the control.

A description of teleoperation systems

1985
Teleoperation used in conjunction with computer science can improve performance. However, in order for the system to operate efficiently, the computer must store models of the system it is intended to control. This is one of the principles of all types of automation using a computer.

Teleoperation of a space robot experiment system

2013 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Biomimetics (ROBIO), 2013
This paper developed a teleoperation system of a space robot, which can assist the operator in planning trajectory quickly and intuitively. In addition to the general function, this system can ensure the completion of certain mission when some joint of the space robot is locked for a hardware malfunction.
