Abstract Anthracnose, caused by Colletotrichum dematium, has emerged as a major foliar disease that threatens spinach (Spinacia oleracea L.) production. In this study, a diverse panel of 266 accessions was evaluated under field conditions to dissect the genetic architecture of anthracnose resistance.

Our study is the first to explore how macropod gut flora vary across levels of urbanisation, exploring the faecal microbiomes of the red‐bellied pademelon (Thylogale billardierii) and the red‐necked wallaby (Notamacropus rufogriseus rufogriseus). There is some evidence of urbanisation's impacts on the macropod microbiome, although there appear to be ...

Switchgrass cultivation sustained biomass production while rapidly improving soil structure and reducing salinity in coastal saline‐alkali soils. These changes reshaped microbial communities through environmental filtering, establishing plant‐soil‐microbe feedbacks that support both bioenergy production and ecological restoration.

This semi‐systematic review supports the two dominant drivers of birth phenology: the seasonality and predation hypotheses. Even though there is evidence of their importance, the effects of female, offspring and population characteristics remain marginally accounted for. Asian and South and Central American species are currently understudied.

Summary Beyond fully mycoheterotrophic plants, many green plants may also obtain carbon from fungal partners. However, bulk stable isotope analyses often lack sufficient resolution in arbuscular mycorrhizal and rhizoctonia‐associated orchid systems, limiting inference of fungal‐derived organic nutrient acquisition.
