TEMPLATE LEARNING OF CELLULAR NEURAL NETWORK USING GENETIC PROGRAMMING

International Journal of Neural Systems, 2004
A new learning algorithm for space invariant Uncoupled Cellular Neural Network is introduced. Learning is formulated as an optimization problem. Genetic Programming has been selected for creating new knowledge because they allow the system to find new rules both near to good ones and far from them, looking for unknown good control actions.

Solar PV Detection Using an Optimal Template Approach with Genetic Algorithm

IECON 2021 – 47th Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2021
With the increasing popularity of domestic solar PV systems there is a need for smart grid network operators to be able to identify solar PV systems attached to their networks. This need is driven by human safety, equipment safety, and regulatory compliance concerns. Given the implementation of smart metering as part of the evolution toward smart grids

Attempted nonenzymatic template-directed oligomerizations on a polyadenylic acid template: Implications for the nature of the first genetic material

Journal of Molecular Evolution, 1991
Previous attempts to produce nonenzymatic template-directed oligomerizations of activated pyrimidines on polypurine templates have been unsuccessful. The only efficient reactions are those where the template is composed primarily of pyrimidines, especially cytosine.

EasyGenetic: A Template Metaprogramming Framework for Genetic Master-Slave Algorithms

2009
We present EasyGenetic , a genetic solver based on template metaprogramming , that enables the user to configure the solver by instantiating template parameters. The framework allows to combine flexibility with efficiency. The framework is mainly designed to be applied to problems for which a master-slave solution strategy can be defined.

A Template Based Continuous Genetic Algorithm for Image Reconstruction

2007 IEEE International Multitopic Conference, 2007
A template-based continuous genetic algorithm (CGA) image reconstruction methodology is proposed for tomographic image reconstruction. For the head and the lung phantoms, the proposed methodology has been found to yield higher image-quality in comparison with the conventional techniques including back-projection, filtered-back-projection, and simulated

A Template Matching Method Based on Genetic Algorithm Optimization

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2012
This paper presents a method of using Genetic Algorithm (GA) to optimize template and image searching process, using template matching to recognize target. An initial matching template is set manually according to 2D shape and the optimizing template is obtained by GA optimizing to meet the requirement of real-time and effective performance.

Molecular evolution: first enzymes, gases as substrates and genetic templates.

Rivista di biologia, 2002
A fundamental problem in biology is the self-assembly of the first cells capable of growth and division under anoxic conditions on the Earth. Evolution proceeded by self-assembling and self-replicating cells that reproduced their own genetic information and also changed their genetic code over time.

Autonomous Language Development Using Dialogue-Act Templates and Genetic Programming

IEEE Transactions on Evolutionary Computation, 2007
In recent years, the concept of "autonomous mental development" (AMD) has been applied to the construction of artificial systems such as conversational agents, in order to resolve some of the difficulties involved in the manual definition of their knowledge bases and behavioral patterns.

Object recognition by flexible template matching using genetic algorithms

1992
We demonstrate the use of a Genetic Algorithm (GA) to match a flexible template model to image evidence. The advantage of the GA is that plausible interpretations can be found in a relatively small number of trials; it is also possible to generate multiple distinct interpretation hypotheses.

Plant Tissues as Templates for Morphology Genetic Material Synthesis

2023
In order to ensure the needs of survival and reproduction, plants have formed various, diverse, multi-dimensional, and multi-scale fine and subtle configurations for millions of years, which provides rich inspiration for scientific research in many fields today.
