Template-Free Biometric-Key Generation by Means of Fuzzy Genetic Clustering
IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security, 2008Biometric authentication is increasingly gaining popularity in a wide range of applications. However, the storage of the biometric templates and/or encryption keys that are necessary for such applications is a matter of serious concern, as the compromise of templates or keys necessarily compromises the information secured by those keys.

Comparing the template method and strategy design patterns in a genetic algorithm application
ACM SIGCSE Bulletin, 2002We present a genetic algorithm software project that serves to give students direct experience with choosing among multiple potentially applicable design patterns. We carefully constructed this project to illustrate the power of design patterns in supporting encapsulation while at the same time providing a single context in which to compare and ...

Template Selection for Lookup Table Based on Genetic Algorithm
2013A template selection method based on genetic algorithm was proposed for inverse halftoning in this paper. A constrained mathematical model was built to describe the template optimization problem. Since the existing greedy method was said not to find the globally optimum template, we solved this optimization problem by using genetic algorithm.

Can the Origin of the Genetic Code Be Explained by Direct RNA Templating?
BIO-Complexity, 2011Motivated by the RNA world hypothesis, Michael Yarus and colleagues have proposed a model for the origin of the ‘universal’ genetic code, in which RNA aptamers directly template amino acids for protein assembly. Yarus et al. claim that this “direct RNA templating” (DRT) model provides a stereochemical basis for the origin of the code, as shown by the ...

Human face location in image sequences using genetic templates
1997 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics. Computational Cybernetics and Simulation, 2002Describes a computer vision system to locate a human face in an image sequence. The system operates on an image sequence captured during a time period and locates the human face region on each image in the sequence. It is the first important step in a human face recognition system.

Web page template design using interactive genetic algorithm
2013 International Computer Science and Engineering Conference (ICSEC), 2013Nowadays there are many new web sites occur daily on the Internet and the demand for web page creation and design increases. The problem is it takes time to create and design the web pages. Moreover, designing web page templates to satisfy user preference is difficult.

Two Step Template Matching Method with Correlation Coefficient and Genetic Algorithm
2009This paper presents a rotation invariant template matching method based on two step matching process, cross correlation and genetic algorithm. In order to improve the matching performance, the traditional normalized correlation coefficient method is combined with genetic algorithm.

Generating Web Template with Suitable Colors based on Genetic Algorithm.
2010In this paper, we present a new approach that generates a web template with compatible colors. This approach uses a genetic algorithm. The system generates random colors for each web template. All templates are showed previews on the screen and then the best template is selected by applying the genetic algorithm.

The Musa acuminata genome sequence, a new template for banana genetics
2011We produced a reference genome sequence of banana. The Musa accession selected for sequencing is a doubled haploid of the accession 'Pahang' (DH-Pahang). This accession belongs to the Musa acuminata species (AA genome) malaccensis subspecies. We generated 20.5x coverage of the 523 Mb genome of DH-Pahang (estimated by flow cytometry) using paired and ...
