Cer24:1 levels are reduced in neutrophilic asthma and inversely correlate with disease severity and airway neutrophilia. Restoring Cer24:1 suppresses pathogenic Th17 differentiation by engaging EP2 on CD4+ T cells, thereby dampening the JAK2–STAT3–RORγt axis and reducing IL‐17 production.

ABSTRACT Liver injury can lead to severe acute liver failure and even death in patients. Artesunate (ART), which is a derivative of artemisinin that has been approved by the FDA for the treatment of malaria, has significant regulatory effects on cell death and inflammation.

S1PR1 mediates Th17 cell migration from the thymus to the skin in health and disease
Th17 cells play crucial roles in host defense and the pathogenesis of autoimmune diseases in the skin. While their differentiation mechanisms have been extensively studied, the origin of skin Th17 cells remains unclear.

Tbet or Continued RORγt Expression Is Not Required for Th17-Associated Immunopathology [PDF]
The discovery of Th17 cell plasticity, in which CD4 + IL-17-producing Th17 cells give rise to IL-17/IFN-γ double-producing cells and Th1-like IFNγ+ ex-Th17 lymphocytes, has raised questions regarding which of these cell types contribute to ...

Th17 cells have crucial functions in host defense, and dysregulated Th17 responses mediate a variety of autoimmune and inflammatory conditions. Th17 cells coexpress IL-22, and its receptor is expressed on epidermal keratinocytes. IL-17 and /or IL-22 induce the production of certain cytokines, chemokines and antimicrobial peptides by keratinocytes, and ...

Mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) show promise for treating immune‐related disorders through immunomodulation and tissue regeneration. This review gives a brief overview of current clinical approval of MSC therapies. It also discussed how bioengineering, including genetic modification, biomaterial delivery, extracellular vesicles, and iPSC‐derived MSCs,

Impact of the gut microbiota-Th17 cell axis on inflammatory depression
Depression is a serious cognitive disorder that results in significant and pervasive deficits in social behavior. These deficits can be traced back to the intricate interplay between social, psychological, and biological factors. Inflammatory depression,

Thrombospondin-1/CD47 interaction regulates Th17 and treg differentiation in psoriasis [PDF]
Accumulating evidence on the role of Thrombospondin-1 (TSP-1) in the immune response has emerged during the last years. In spite of the importance of TSP-1 not only as anti-angiogenic factor but also as an immunomodulatory molecule, studies on the ...

This review surveys nanoparticle‐based strategies to enhance adoptive cell therapy, particularly CAR‐T cell approaches, in solid tumor treatment. It describes how nanoparticles can improve tumor immunogenicity and T‐cell infiltration while reducing toxicity, and how they enable in vivo CAR‐T cell generation.

Dendritic cell subsets in the intestinal lamina propria: ontogeny and function [PDF]
The intestinal mucosa is exposed to large amounts of foreign antigen (Ag) derived from commensal bacteria, dietary Ags, and intestinal pathogens. Dendritic cells (DCs) are believed to be involved in the induction of tolerance to harmless Ags and in ...
