Plac1+ Tumor Cell‐Treg Interplay Supports Tumorigenesis and Progression of Head and Neck Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 17, May 8, 2025.
Meng et al. screen genes in the CTAs family and find Plac1 is specifically expressed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) cells. They reveal that Plac1 expression promotes HNSCC progression directly by activating PI3K/AKT signaling pathway.

Enhancing Tendon Regeneration: Investigating the Impact of Topography on the Secretome of Adipose‐Derived Stem Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 18, May 15, 2025.
The impact of topography on the secretome of adipose‐derived stem cells (ADSCs) has the potential for promoting tendon regeneration. The secretome generated from ADSCs on aligned structure has a potent effect in promoting cell migration, proliferation, tenogenic differentiation, macrophage M2 polarization, and tendon mechanical function recovery ...

The Crosstalk with CXCL10‐Rich Tumor‐Associated Mast Cells Fuels Pancreatic Cancer Progression and Immune Escape

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 14, April 10, 2025.
Pancreatic cancer promotes the accumulation of mast cells in the tumor microenvironment. Tumor‐derived exosomes deliver miR‐188‐5p to tumor‐associated mast cells (TAMCs), enhancing TAMCs‐derived CXCL10 secretion by strengthening ERG transcription. TAMCs‐derived CXCL10 promotes tumor migration, stemness, and immunosuppressive environment.

Targeting Antigen‐Presenting Cells to Enhance the Tumor‐Spleen Immunity Cycle through Liposome‐Neoantigen Vaccine

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
LNPsD18, a cationic liposome that enhances antigen‐presenting cell uptake in the spleen and tumor without targeting ligands is developed. Co‐delivering neoantigens and a TLR9 agonist significantly improve DC activation, tumor immunity, and survival in liver and colorectal cancer models, demonstrating the importance of dual‐site APC targeting for cancer
