Thermostable Bioluminescent Intercalating Dyes for Real‐Time, Integrated Nucleic Acid Amplification and Detection

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
We present a bioluminescent diagnostic platform that integrates DNA amplification and detection in a single step. The engineering of thermostable luciferase‐intercalating dye conjugates and controlled release of caged luciferin substrates enable real‐time, detection of attomolar concentrations of viral DNA within 30 min.

POTENSI PRODUKSI BIOHIDROGEN DARI LIMBAH BIOMASSA PADA PROSES PENCERNAAN ANAEROBIK

open access: yesAgrointek, 2021
The sustainability of hydrogen as an energy carrier depends on the production process and the source of raw materials. The choice of substrate in anaerobic digestion process plays an important role to maximize biohydrogen production because it depends on

Enhancing the hydrolysis of excess sludge using thermophilic Bacillus sp. Hnu under different oxygen supply conditions [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Serbian Chemical Society, 2013
A thermophilic Bacillus strain was isolated from excess sludge in the present study. The 16S rDNA analysis indicated that this strain was a Bacillus sp. and has not been reported previously (named Bacillus sp. Hnu).

High‐quality genome of a novel Thermosynechococcaceae species from Namibia and characterization of its protein expression patterns at elevated temperatures

open access: yesMicrobiologyOpen
Thermophilic cyanobacteria thrive in extreme environments, making their thermoresistant enzymes valuable for industrial applications. Common habitats include hot springs, which act as evolutionary accelerators for speciation due to geographical isolation.

Cold Orthogonal Translation: A Psychrophilic Pyrrolysyl‐tRNA Synthetase Boosts Genetic Code Expansion in E. coli

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Orthogonal translation systems (OTSs) enable site‐specific incorporation of non‐canonical amino acids (ncAAs) and are central to genetic code expansion. Current engineering strategies typically rely on hyperstable aminoacyl tRNA synthetase (aaRS) scaffolds to tolerate destabilizing mutations required for substrate diversification.
