Composition Analysis of Canola and Intermediate Wheatgrass Biomass and the Effects of Extraction

open access: yesBioResources, 2023
Knowing the composition of biomass is critical for determining accurate yields of renewable chemicals and fuels; however, nonstructural components can affect the results of standard composition procedures, leading to inaccurate reactant amounts.

Reaction of Five Non-cereal Grasses to Five Races and Two Host Selective Toxins of Pyrenophora tritici-repentis

open access: yesThe Plant Pathology Journal, 2015
Alternative hosts increase the difficulty of disease management in crops because these alternate hosts provide additional sources of primary inoculum or refuges for diversity in the pathogen gene pool.

Секвенирование гаплотипов гена Wx пырея среднего ( Thinopyrum intermedium)

open access: yesВестник Башкирского университета, 2013
In order to investigate the potential value of the Wx genes of wild relatives of wheat and study the evolution of these genes, 2685 bp and 2646 bp nucleotide sequences of the Wx gene were obtained from intermediate wheatgrass, Thinopyrum intermedium. Wx genes are considered as high conserved sequences in Triticum L.

Distinguishing Abiotic from Biotic Stressors in Perennial Grain Crops: Nutrient Deficiency Symptoms in Silphium integrifolium and Thinopyrum intermedium

open access: yesAgronomy
Perennial grains have been proposed as a soil-healthy alternative to annual grains. Intermediate wheatgrass (Thinopyrum intermedium), whose seed is currently sold under the trade name Kernza®, and silflower (Silphium integrifolium), which is in the early

Powdery Mildew and Aphid Resistance in Wheat–Thinopyrum intermedium Derivatives from Zhong Backgrounds

open access: yesPlants
A total of 159 wheat–Thinopyrum intermedium derivatives, originating from six Zhong partial amphiploids, were evaluated for resistance to powdery mildew (Blumeria graminis f. sp. tritici) at both seedling and adult-plant stages, as well as for field resistance to wheat aphids, together with key agronomic traits. Adult-plant resistance to powdery mildew

Pseudo-linkage or real-linkage of rust resistance genes in a wheat-Thinopyrum intermedium translocation line

open access: yesTheoretical and Applied Genetics
Abstract Wheat addition lines Z4 and Z5 carrying rust resistance genes from Thinopyrum intermedium (JJJsJsStSt, 2n = 6x = 42) together with three wheat lines involved in the production of these addition lines were analysed by rust response, 90K SNP genotyping, and molecular cytogenetic analysis.

QTL mapping for the flag leaf-related traits using RILs derived from Trititrigia germplasm line SN304 and wheat cultivar Yannong15 in multiple environments

open access: yesBMC Plant Biology
Background Developing and enriching genetic resources plays important role in the crop improvement. The flag leaf affects plant architecture and contributes to the grain yield of wheat (Triticum aestivum L.).

Клонирование и анализ интрон-экзонного участка гена Viviparous1 у Thinopyrum intermedium и Thinopyrum ponticum

open access: yesСовременные проблемы науки и образования, 2011
The nucleotide sequences of the intron-exon region of the Viviparous1 gene ortholog of Thinopyrum intermedium и Thinopyrum ponticum have been obtained as a result of cloning and sequencing analysis. The exon and the intron have appeared to contain highly conservative and polymorphic sequences, respectively.
