ABSTRACT Eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA) is a rare and potentially life‐threatening systemic, inflammatory disease with multi‐organ manifestations, variable presentation and complex pathology. Multiple interconnected immunological pathways are implicated in EGPA pathology, including a type‐2 immune response driving predominantly ...

Potential involvement of IL-9 and Th9 cells in the pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis [PDF]
Objective. IL-9 has been shown to be upregulated before the clinical onset of articular disease in RA. The exact role of IL-9 and Th9 cells in RA, however, has not yet been adequately studied.

ABSTRACT Chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) and asthma are prevalent conditions that often coexist. These diseases share common inflammatory mechanisms, such as T‐helper cell 2 (T2)‐high inflammation, driven by interleukin (IL)‐4, IL‐5, and IL‐13 cytokines.

Signal transduction around thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP) in atopic asthma
Thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP), a novel interleukin-7-like cytokine, triggers dendritic cell-mediated inflammatory responses ultimately executed by T helper cells of the Th2 subtype.

MicroRNA regulation of type 2 innate lymphoid cell homeostasis and function in allergic inflammation. [PDF]
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) exert powerful effects on immunity through coordinate regulation of multiple target genes in a wide variety of cells. Type 2 innate lymphoid cells (ILC2s) are tissue sentinel mediators of allergic inflammation.

Biomarkers of Disease and Treatment in Murine and Cynomolgus Models of Chronic Asthma [PDF]
Background Biomarkers facilitate early detection of disease and measurement of therapeutic efficacy, both at clinical and experimental levels. Recent advances in analytics and disease models allow comprehensive screening for biomarkers in complex ...

Immature B cells in the bone marrow (BM) emigrate into the spleen during adult lymphopoiesis. Here, we report that emigration is shifted to earlier B-cell stages in mice with orthotopic breast cancer, spontaneous ovarian cancer, and possibly in human ...

Therapeutic advances in pruritus as a model of personalized medicine
Recent advances in itch biology reveal that chronic pruritus arises from distinct neuroimmune pathways driven by cytokines, JAK, BTK and GPCRs. Targeted biologics and small molecule inhibitors such as dupilumab, nemolizumab, remibrutinib and JAK inhibitors precisely modulate these pathways, leading to a new era of personalized therapeutics in pruritus.
