A Data-Driven Analysis for Operational Vehicle Performance of Public Transport Network
The operational stability of public transport is significant for both passengers and operators. Affected by many stochastic factors, such as traffic congestion, traffic signals and passenger demand at stops, the headway always become uneven, which ...

Study on the pattern of train arrival headway time in high-speed railway [PDF]
Purpose – The design goal for the tracking interval of high-speed railway trains in China is 3 min, but it is difficult to achieve, and it is widely believed that it is mainly limited by the tracking interval of train arrivals.

Joint design standard for running times, dwell times and headway times [PDF]
A punctual train service requires a feasible timetable and this paper deals with design standards for running times, dwell times, and headway times. Feedback from operations to planning is an appropriate way to determine the required standards for delivering the desired performance.

Time Headway as Indices of Traffic Congestion [PDF]
Urban mobility problem in Nigeria is on the increase, due to rapid growth in traffic that is not matched with the existing transport infrastructure, resulting in traffic congestion. Headway, a measure of level of service of a roadway, could be instructive in addressing this problem, hence this study.

Investigation of vehicle time headways in Turkey
The vehicle time headways of arriving traffic flows at signalised intersections are examined in this study. Low traffic conditions are considered, and traffic lanes that carry less than 500 vehicles/h are studied. Data are obtained from 10 signalised intersections in Turkey. The lanes are classified with respect to movements of traffic flows.

Task-Difficulty Homeostasis in Car Following Models: Experimental Validation Using Self-Paced Visual Occlusion. [PDF]
Car following (CF) models used in traffic engineering are often criticized for not incorporating "human factors" well known to affect driving. Some recent work has addressed this by augmenting the CF models with the Task-Capability Interface (TCI) model,

ABSTRACT Background Embryonal tumors comprise the majority of malignant central nervous system (CNS) neoplasms diagnosed in children under 3 years of age. Compared with their counterparts in older children, these tumors exhibit distinct molecular biology and a more aggressive clinical phenotype, while their management is complicated by the heightened ...
