A monoclonal antibody directed to Tn antigen
Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 1990A murine monoclonal antibody, MLS 128, that was assigned to an anti-Tn antibody has been established by immunizing mice with human colonic cancer cells (LS 180). MLS 128 bound to mucin glycopeptides from LS 180 cells and their asialo forms to the same extent as well as to ovine submaxillary mucin (OSM) and asialo OSM.

An Example of Polyagglutinability Due to the Tn Antigen
British Journal of Haematology, 1970Summary. A case of atypical polyagglutinability due to the Tn antigen is described. The patient, although apparently healthy, has leucopenia and thrombocytopenia. Her cells presented the usual difficulties of polyagglutinable cells due to the presence of anti‐Tn in typing reagents whether of human or animal origin.

Enzymatic synthesis of the Tn antigen
Journal of Molecular Catalysis B: Enzymatic, 2007The enzymatic synthesis of the Tn antigen (GalNAc--O-Ser), a glyco-aminoacid of great biological importance, is reported. The reaction was promoted by commercial -N-acetylgalactosaminidase from Acremonium sp., using p-nitrophenyl--N-acetylgalactosamine as the donor. The kinetics were monitored by capillary electrophoresis and LC–UV-MS.

Tn and Sialyl‐Tn antigens in canine gastric tissues
Veterinary and Comparative Oncology, 2020AbstractMalignant transformation is often associated with abnormal protein glycosylation expressed, amongst others, by the accumulation of simple mucin‐type carbohydrates namely Tn and Sialyl‐Tn (STn) antigens. These are usually limited in normal tissues and their increased expression has been associated with cancer progression and poor prognosis. This

Immunohistochemical detection of sialosyl‐Tn antigen in carcinoma of the prostate
British Journal of Urology, 1997Objective To investigate the expression of sialosyl‐Tn antigen (STn) in human benign and malignant prostate. Materials and methods The expression of STn was investigated immunohistochemically in formalin‐fixed and paraffin‐embedded ...

Tissue Expression of Sialyl Tn Antigen in Gynecologic Tumors
Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, 1995AbstractObjective(s): To investigate tissue expression of Sialyl Tn antigen (STN) in gynecologic tumors, and to compare with its appearance in blood circulation. Methods: Surgical specimens were obtained from 24 patients with malignant gynecologic diseases, including 7 ovarian cancers, 13 cervical cancers, 3 endometrial cancers, and 1 vulval cancer ...

Immunohistochemical Evaluation of Sialosyl-Tn Antigens in Various Ovarian Carcinomas
Gynecologic Oncology, 1993Sialosyl-Tn (S-Tn) antigen, a cancer-related antigen, was expressed in 56.3% (36 of 64 cases) of the common epithelial carcinoma tissues. This antigen was moderately to strongly expressed in 83.3% (15 of 18 cases) of the mucinous adenocarcinomas. In contrast, it was weakly expressed in 31.3% (5 of 16 cases) of the serous adenocarcinomas.
