TNF-α expression and age in skin punch biopsies of healthy controls and PD patients.
Age is not correlated with altered TNF-α gene expression in the skin punch biopsy samples obtained from the lateral lower leg of healthy controls (a, b) and PD patients (c, d). Abbreviations: PD = Parkinson’s disease, TNF-α = tumor necrosis factor-alpha.

Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...

ヒト歯肉上皮細胞のInterleukin-8産生に対するtumor necrosis factor -αの影響 [PDF]
大阪歯科大学Osaka Dental University博士(歯学)Tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α is an inflammatory mediator that is released during the early stages of the inflammatory response and plays an important role in the development of periodontitis.

Tumour Necrosis Factor-alpha (TNF-α) is one of the main drivers of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Regulating the actions of this pro-inflammatory cytokine through selective antagonism using an anti-TNF-α monoclonal antibody (mAb) provides effective

In normal (nontolerant) cells, CD14 is crucial for both LPS uptake and LPS signaling. In LPS‐tolerant cells, in which LPS‐induced TNF‐α and IFN‐β production is suppressed, there is a dramatic increase in surface CD14 expression. The overexpressed CD14 in LPS‐tolerant cells is responsible for the enhanced LPS uptake without inducing pro‐inflammatory ...

Familial Aggregation of High Tumor Necrosis Factor Alpha Levels in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus
Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) patients frequently have high circulating tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α) levels. We explored circulating TNF-α levels in SLE families to determine whether high levels of TNF-α were clustered in a heritable pattern.

TNF-α levels in psychosis group.
Agitated psychosis patients had significantly higher serum levels of TNF-α compared to non-agitated psychosis patients (21.71 ± 27.00 vs 12.84 ± 18.15 pg/ml). data are expressed as median ± 95% confidence interval. **p = 0.027.

In a murine model of myocardial ischemia and reperfusion (MI/R), the CD36 azapeptide ligand MPE‐298 reduces cardiac injury and transiently lowers left ventricular long‐chain fatty acids (LCFAs) accumulation 3 h after reperfusion, accompanied by a decrease of oxidative stress and inflammation‐associated genes' expression in the heart and adipose tissue.

Sarcoidosis: is there a role for anti-TNF-α?
AbstractIn severe cases of sarcoidosis treatment can be very difficult. The common treatment strategies might be failing. Tumour necrosis factor (TNF) α therapy is approved in rheumatoid arthritis, M. Crohn, psoriasis and ankylosing spondylitis. In sarcoidosis more recently a phase 2, multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study was ...
