Tocotrienol research: past into present [PDF]
The vitamin E family consists of eight isomers known as alpha-, beta-, gamma-, and delta-tocopherols and alpha-, beta-, gamma-, and delta-tocotrienols. Numerous studies focused on the health benefits of these isomers have been performed since the discovery of vitamin E in 1922.

Amaranth hydrolysate combined with Agastache rugosa extract (AKE) attenuated cancer cachexia in CT26 tumor‐bearing mice by suppressing systemic inflammation and modulating muscle and adipose tissue metabolism. AKE inhibited FoxO3a‐mediated proteolysis while restoring PI3K/Akt/mTOR‐dependent protein synthesis in skeletal muscle.
