Effects of toll like receptor 4 (TLR4) and toll like receptor 2 (TLR 2) gene polymorphisms on clinical outcomes in acute non-biliary pancreatitis patients

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology
IntroductionIn this retrospective study, it was aimed to evaluate effects of Toll Like Receptor 4 (TLR4) and Toll Like Receptor 2 (TLR 2) gene polymorphisms on clinical outcomes in acute non-biliary pancreatitis patients.MethodsA total of 108 acute non ...

Induction Effects Of Bacteroides Fragilis Derived Outer Membrane Vesicles On Toll Like Receptor 2, Toll Like Receptor 4 Genes Expression And Cytokines Concentration In Human Intestinal Epithelial Cells

open access: yesCell Journal, 2018
Objective Gastrointestinal (GI) tract, like other mucosal surface, is colonized with a microbial population known as gut microbiota. Outer membrane vesicles (OMVs) which are produced by gram negative bacteria could be sensed by Toll like receptors (TLRs)

Immunohistochemical Analysis of Differences of Toll-Like Receptor 2, Mast Cells, and Neurofilaments between Granulomatous Rosacea and Non-Granulomatous Rosacea

open access: yesIndian Journal of Dermatology, 2021
Background: Granulomatous rosacea is a distinct variant of rosacea because of its unique histopatholiogic findings. However, the pathogenesis of granulomatous rosacea has not yet been clearly demonstrated.

Toll-like receptor-2 deficiency enhances non-alcoholic steatohepatitis

open access: yesBMC Gastroenterology, 2010
Background Previously we reported that mice deficient in toll-like receptor 4 (TLR-4) signalling were protected from diet-induced non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH).

Toll-like Receptor 2 Facilitates Oxidative Damage-Induced Retinal Degeneration

open access: yesCell Reports, 2020
Summary: Retinal degeneration is a form of neurodegenerative disease and is the leading cause of vision loss globally. The Toll-like receptors (TLRs) are primary components of the innate immune system involved in signal transduction.

Determining Parental Factors for Clinical Trial Attrition in Pediatric Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background/Objectives Despite high enrollment rates on Children's Oncology Group (COG) protocols, attrition after initial consent is challenging, introducing bias and prolonging trial completion. While adult oncology literature has identified predictors of withdrawal, little is known about caregiver decision‐making for child participation in ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.
