Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

On the existence of total dominating subgraphs with a prescribed additive hereditary property [PDF]
Recently, Bacsó and Tuza gave a full characterization of the graphs for which every connected induced subgraph has a connected dominating subgraph satisfying an arbitrary prescribed hereditary property.

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

When an optimal dominating set with given constraints exists
International audienceA dominating set is a set S of vertices in a graph such that every vertex not in S is adjacent to a vertex in S. In this paper, we consider the set of all optimal (i.e.

Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Total and Double Total Domination on Octagonal Grid
A k-total dominating set is a set of vertices such that all vertices in the graph, including the vertices in the dominating set themselves, have at least k neighbors in the dominating set.

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

On the Total Dominating Set of ${3}/{2}$-Generated Groups
A subset $S$ of a group $G$ is called a total dominating set of $G$ if for any nontrivial element $x\in G$ there is an element $y\in S$ such that $G =\left< x, y\right> $. Tarski monsters, constructed by Olshanskii, are infinite simple groups, any pair of non-commuting elements of which is a total dominating set.
