Fluoroarene Strategy in Total Synthesis of Natural Flavonoids
AbstractVicenin-2, a naturally occurring bis-C-glucosyl flavonoid, was synthesized by exploiting a sequential C-glycoside formation and aromatic nucleophilic substitution (SNAr reaction) of the fluoroarene derivative, i.e., 1,3,5-trifluorobenzene, converting fluorine atoms to oxygen function.
