In rheumatoid arthritis, synovial Tregs accumulate but are functionally impaired due to iron overload‐induced ferroptosis. This triggers mitochondrial dysfunction and TXK tyrosine kinase‐mediated signaling, leading to Treg destabilization and inflammation.

Gene function revealed at the moment of stochastic gene silencing
Gene expression is a dynamic and stochastic process characterized by transcriptional bursting followed by periods of silence. Single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) is a powerful tool to measure transcriptional bursting and silencing at the individual ...

Ecological Adaptation Mechanisms Underlying Successful Plant Reproduction
During floral induction, various environmental and endogenous signals converge to regulate the florigen protein, which is transported from leaves to the SAM to initiate flowering. Within the SAM, a complex network of receptor kinases and small peptides orchestrates floral development with high spatiotemporal precision.

Post-transcriptional gene silencing in plants
Post-transcriptional gene silencing, also known as RNA interference (RNAi), is a natural phenomenon which has been found to occur in a number of species. This process is induced by double stranded RNA (dsRNA) and results in degradation of homologous mRNA.

Natural Variation of NAR5 Determines Nitrogenase Activity and the Yield in Soybean
This study identified NAR5, a gene encoding a subtilisin‐like protease, that regulates nitrogenase activity in soybean nodules. Overexpressing NAR5 delayed nodule senescence, enhancing nitrogenase activity, yield, and low‐nitrogen tolerance. The elite haplotype NAR5HapI‐1 linked to superior nitrogenase activity and greater seed weight has been ...

This study demonstrates that iron overload triggers widespread chromatin compaction and transcriptional repression in human granulosa cells, recapitulating features of endometriosis. The epigenetic reprogramming is orchestrated by a TFEB‐SOX4‐SWI/SNF axis, with SOX4 acting as a central, dosage‐sensitive regulator.

Haplotype‐Resolved 3D Genomic Landscapes and Their Impacts on Agronomic Traits in Grapevine
This study presents a haplotype‐resolved 3D genomic landscape of grapevine, revealing that structural variations (SVs) are closely associated with phased topologically associating domain (TAD) boundary transitions. These rearrangements coordinate with allele‐specific DNA methylation (ASM) and allele‐biased gene expression (ASE) to shape key agronomic ...

Knocking down wheat meiotic genes through Virus-induced gene-silencing (VIGS)
Virus-induced gene-silencing (VIGS) is a reverse genetic technology that can be used to assess gene function in model and crop species. The technique exploits a natural viral defence response in plants, whereby invading viral RNAs are detected, and this ...
