Genomic and transcriptomic analyses reveal the genetic basis of leg diseases in laying hens
Poultry ScienceIn recent years, while monitoring commercial laying hens during the brooding period, we noticed that some chicks exhibited an abnormal lameness phenomenon.Menghan Guo, Xiaoyu Zhao, Xiurong Zhao, Gang Wang, Xufang Ren, Anqi Chen, Xiaoyu Jiang, Yalan Zhang, Xue Cheng, Xiaofan Yu, Huie Wang, Fugui Li, Zhonghua Ning, Lujiang Qu +13 moredoaj +1 more sourceNew Insights into Atonic Postpartum Hemorrhage: Animal Model Construction Based on Placental Nanodelivery Systems
Advanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView. This study develops a placenta‐targeted nanodelivery system co‐loading HMGB1 protein and the NLRP3 agonist nigericin to establish an animal model of atonic postpartum hemorrhage. The model accurately recapitulates clinical phenotypes, including prolonged labor and uterine contractility dysfunction, while revealing inflammatory activation in placental ...Jiangxue Qu, Ruiqi Wu, Hai Jiang, Lian Chen, Yingying Tian, Shuai Zeng, Tongmin Liu, Cheng Zhao, Huifeng Shi, Xiaolong Liang, Yangyu Zhao +10 morewiley +1 more sourceA transcriptome-wide association study of 229,000 women identifies new candidate susceptibility genes for breast cancer

Advanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.HUCMSC‐Apo‐mvs enhance peripheral nerve repair by modulating the inflammatory microenvironment (IME), primarily through coordinated actions on three functional cells. They recruit macrophages and promote their polarization from pro‐inflammatory M1 to anti‐inflammatory M2 phenotypes, increasing secretion of IL‐10 and VEGF.Haolin Liu, Yiben Ouyang, Bo Wang, Xiaochun Zhang, Yanjun Guan, Ruichao He, Yuhui Cui, Junli Wang, Qianru Yao, Yixiao Tan, Xiwei Peng, Xing Xiong, Sice Wang, Dongdong Li, Haofeng Cheng, Tianqi Su, Xiaoyang Fu, Jinjuan Zhao, Mingqian Yu, Yi Wang, Jiang Peng, Yu Wang +21 morewiley +1 more sourceData from A Transcriptome-Wide Association Study Identifies Candidate Susceptibility Genes for Pancreatic Cancer Risk

Advanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView. This work presents ARC‐3D, a soft 3D model that recreates how brain support cells, called astrocytes, react to oxidative stress. The system visualizes rapid calcium changes and inflammatory signals, and shows how the drug KDS12025 can protect cells from damage. ARC‐3D offers a simple, reliable way to study early drivers of brain inflammation.Ju‐Kang Kim, Ye‐Ji Kim, Seyoung Ryu, Daeui Park, Kyoung‐Sik Moon, Yu Bin Lee, Dong Ho Woo +6 morewiley +1 more sourceA single-nucleus transcriptome-wide association study implicates novel genes in depression pathogenesis [PDF]
