Opportunistic Transient-Fault Detection [PDF]
CMOS scaling increases susceptibility of microprocessors to transient faults. Most current proposals for transient-fault detection use full redundancy to achieve perfect coverage while incurring significant performance degradation. However, most commodity systems do not need or provide perfect coverage.

Transient landscapes at fault tips [PDF]
Fault growth produces patterns of displacement and slip rate that are highly variable in both space and time. This transience is most pronounced near fault tips, where along‐strike displacement gradients vary in time as the fault array lengthens.

On the Susceptibility of QDI Circuits to Transient Faults
By design, quasi delay-insensitive (QDI) circuits exhibit higher resilience against timing variations as compared to their synchronous counterparts. Since computation in QDI circuits is event-based rather than clock-triggered, spurious events due to transient faults such as radiation-induced glitches, a priori are of higher concern in QDI circuits.

Modelling and simulation analysis of MMC‐HVDC system based on transient energy flow
In the high voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission system composed of modular multilevel converters (MMC), considering the distribution of transient energy flow (TEF) contributes to the transient modelling and fault characteristic analysis when dc ...
