Transient-fault recovery for chip multiprocessors [PDF]

open access: yes30th Annual International Symposium on Computer Architecture, 2003. Proceedings., 2003
To address the increasing susceptibility of commodity chip multiprocessors (CMPs) to transient faults, we propose Chiplevel Redundantly Threaded multiprocessor with Recovery (CRTR). CRTR extends the previously-proposed CRT for transient-fault detection in CMPs, and the previously-proposed SRTR for transient-fault recovery in SMT.

Fusion fault line selection method of small current grounding fault based on VMD

open access: yesGong-kuang zidonghua, 2023
At present, the fault line selection method of coal mine distribution network has the problem of fault line selection failure when the relevant fault features are not obvious.

Experimental evaluation of two software countermeasures against fault attacks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Injection of transient faults can be used as a way to attack embedded systems. On embedded processors such as microcontrollers, several studies showed that such a transient fault injection with glitches or electromagnetic pulses could corrupt either the ...

Transient Modeling Method for Faulty DC Microgrid Considering Control Effect of DC/AC and DC/DC Converters

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
The accurate transient modeling of faulty DC microgrids is the basis of fault detection, fault location and fault isolation. AC/DC and DC/DC converters keeps their normal control strategies until the fault is detected.

Testing Embedded Memories in Telecommunication Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
Extensive system testing is mandatory nowadays to achieve high product quality. Telecommunication systems are particularly sensitive to such a requirement; to maintain market competitiveness, manufacturers need to combine reduced costs, shorter life ...

Tolerating permanent and transient value faults [PDF]

open access: yesDistributed Computing, 2013
Transmission faults allow us to reason about permanent and transient value faults in a uniform way. However, all existing solutions to consensus in this model are either in the synchronous system, or require strong conditions for termination, that exclude the case where all messages of a process can be corrupted.

Transient Characteristics and Line Selection of Two-Point Grounding Faults on Same Phase in Resonant Grounding System

open access: yesZhongguo dianli, 2022
Aiming at the low accuracy problem in line selection of two-point grounding faults on same phase in distribution network, a new fault feeder identification method suitable for two-point grounding faults on same phase in resonant grounding systems is ...

Maintaining Security in the Presence of Transient Faults [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Consider a multiparty system where parties may occasionally be "infected" by malicious, coordinated agents, called viruses. After some time the virus is expelled and the party wishes to regain its security. Since the leaving virus knows the entire contents of the infected party's memory, a source of "fresh" randomness seems essential for regaining ...

Identification Method for Pulse Wave Resulted From Fault Transient of Overhead Transmission Line

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
This paper presents a simple and effective method to extract the identification quantity of transient pulse waveform produced by the overhead transmission line short-circuit fault.

An equivalent circuit for the evaluation of cross-country fault currents in medium voltage (MV) distribution networks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
A Cross-Country Fault (CCF) is the simultaneous occurrence of a couple of Line-to-Ground Faults (LGFs), affecting different phases of same feeder or of two distinct ones, at different fault locations.
