Through analyzing the transient components and transient characteristics in transient zero-sequence current (TZSC), a novel fault feeder detection method based on the transient correlation of non-power frequency components (NPFCs) for the resonant ...

An auto-restoration tool to minimize the impact of faults is one of the critical requirements in a power distribution system. A fault-monitoring system is needed for practical remote supervision to identify faults and reduce their impacts, and thus ...

Secondary earth faults occur frequently in power distribution networks under harsh weather conditions. Owing to its characteristics, a secondary earth fault is typically hidden within the transient of the first fault.

Line selection method with transient state based on intrinsic mode energy
In view of problem that fault line selection method based on wavelet analysis of coal mine power grid ca't guarantee the optimal decomposition effect due to the decomposition effect depends on choice of primary function, the paper presented a fault line ...

Research on automatic location of single-phase leakage fault zone in coal mine power network
The necessity of automatic single-phase leakage fault zone location is analyzed in this paper from two aspects, namely, the need for leakage detection and the value of leakage fault zone location.

Phase clocks for transient fault repair [PDF]
Phase clocks are synchronization tools that implement a form of logical time in distributed systems. For systems tolerating transient faults by self-repair of damaged data, phase clocks can enable reasoning about the progress of distributed repair procedures.

Tolerating permanent and transient value faults [PDF]
Transmission faults allow us to reason about permanent and transient value faults in a uniform way. However, all existing solutions to consensus in this model are either in the synchronous system, or require strong conditions for termination, that exclude the case where all messages of a process can be corrupted.

The accurate transient modeling of faulty DC microgrids is the basis of fault detection, fault location and fault isolation. AC/DC and DC/DC converters keeps their normal control strategies until the fault is detected.

Maintaining Security in the Presence of Transient Faults [PDF]
Consider a multiparty system where parties may occasionally be "infected" by malicious, coordinated agents, called viruses. After some time the virus is expelled and the party wishes to regain its security. Since the leaving virus knows the entire contents of the infected party's memory, a source of "fresh" randomness seems essential for regaining ...

Transient-fault recovery for chip multiprocessors [PDF]
To address the increasing susceptibility of commodity chip multiprocessors (CMPs) to transient faults, we propose Chiplevel Redundantly Threaded multiprocessor with Recovery (CRTR). CRTR extends the previously-proposed CRT for transient-fault detection in CMPs, and the previously-proposed SRTR for transient-fault recovery in SMT.
