The Pin2/TRF1-Interacting Protein PinX1 Is a Potent Telomerase Inhibitor [PDF]
Telomerase activity is critical for normal and transformed human cells to escape from crisis and is implicated in oncogenesis. Here we describe a novel Pin2/TRF1 binding protein, PinX1 that inhibits telomerase activity and affects tumorigenicity.

Ovarian Aging: Mechanisms, Age‐Related Disorders, and Therapeutic Interventions
A comprehensive overview of the molecular mechanisms underlying ovarian aging, its association with age‐related diseases, and potential therapeutic interventions. Ovarian aging involves DNA damage, mitochondrial dysfunction, oxidative stress, telomere attrition, and follicular depletion, driving age‐related infertility, menopause, and multiple systemic

Different telomere functions show distinct dependence on Rap1 protein levels revealed by analyses of pre‐mRNA splicing mutants. ABSTRACT Telomeres perform multiple functions to maintain genome stability, including telomere length regulation, chromosome end protection, and meiotic chromosome dynamics.

ATM and ATR Signaling Regulate the Recruitment of Human Telomerase to Telomeres
The yeast homologs of the ATM and ATR DNA damage response kinases play key roles in telomerase-mediated telomere maintenance, but the role of ATM/ATR in the mammalian telomerase pathway has been less clear.

DHI attenuates RIHD by inhibiting ferroptosis. It upregulates GPX4 and SLC7A11 while downregulating TFR1 and HO‐1, thereby reducing lipid peroxidation and oxidative stress to preserve mitochondrial integrity and cardiac function. ABSTRACT Radiation‐induced heart disease (RIHD) has garnered increasing clinical attention.

As an m6A reader, hnRNPA2B1 predominantly regulates specific transcripts (e.g., Ep400, Rrs1) that are essential for chromosome organization and remodeling in an m6A‐dependent manner. Furthermore, it is demonstrated to interact with factors involved in mRNA processing and translation. This dual functionality is pivotal for ensuring the proper occurrence

Modulation of telomere protection by the PI3K/AKT pathway
Regulation of telomeres and the insulin/PI3K pathway both have roles in aging and cancer development but have not been functionally linked. Here the authors demonstrate that PI3K, via downstream targets, regulates TRF1 via phosphorylation.

Telomere‐Related Gene Networks in the Ovary Shift Across Environmental Factors
ABSTRACT The ovary is key to linking environmental factors with the timing and quality of offspring development. Focused on free‐living female tree swallows (Tachycineta bicolor), we measured temporal variation in ovarian expression of genes involved in the regulation of telomere length.
